‘Assassin’s Creed Duel’ was a Ubisoft fighter that never released

StickSkills.com writes, "Last year, we saw the release of Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale. The medley of Playstation characters featured in the title brought back a bit of nostalgia for fans, but didn’t quite nearly make the splash Sony may have wanted. It’s quite possible that Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Duel never made it as an official title for fear of a similar fate." (Assassin's Creed Duel, PS3, Xbox 360)

that's because they're too busy dishing out a series every year.

The world of pirates and assassins shouldn't cross IMO

Thank god that is your opinion because i love this idea.

@triown

agreed. Some people have trouble thinking outside the box, seeing only what they want instead of the whole picture.

Yes because pirate assassins is an incredibly creative idea...

I don't see why anyone would be worried about suffering the same fate as All-Stars. The title sold poorly because the marketing for it was awful. The "first" TV spot was really only conceptually linked (many characters aren't playable, way before the announcement, etc) and the second one didn't show any sort of gameplay. It pretty much just released and Sony thought it would instantly sell its self, which didn't happen.

No it sold poorly because it was a rip off of one of the greatest gaming franchises of all time.

@NeXXXuS

Well actually there is some truth to what jcnba28 said. I think a lot of people who played Smash expected All-Stars to be similar, but it wasn't. Smash being my favourite game, this just didn't cut it. But that's just my 2 cent opinion.

Well that looked like an epic fail in the making.

Altair would have owned everyone, but this would have been the stupidest idea for a game in recent memory. Seriously.
pr0t0typeknuckles  +   742d ago
I doubt he'd own the prince or ezio, but I think this could have worked if ubi marketed right.
DragonKnight  +   742d ago
I repeat, Altair would own everyone. Lol.
pr0t0typeknuckles  +   742d ago
Oh I agree Desmond would get owned in 2 seconds,and about Connor being a bratty douche
Reverent  +   742d ago
Altair is the only assassin there that had trained to be an assassin since he was a child. He might not have been the most "badass" in his game, but realistically, he was trained far better than the others.

The Prince on the other hand, I do think could beat him.
pr0t0typeknuckles  +   742d ago
Mater of opinion I suppose,but I will say I think Altair is a badass and a fav of mine up there with the prince and ezio
DragonKnight  +   742d ago
I just find Altair to be the pinnacle of the Assassins in the game. He isn't a playboy like Ezio, and he isn't a whining monotonous brat like Connor. He's stoic, serious, and focused. He built the Assassin's Order higher than it ever was and his teachings spanned generations. But I think we can all agree that Desmond would be owned by everyone.

I just noticed, to the left of where it says, "not an actual game" in all three images, they misspelled psn as "pns". No, I'm not trying to be a grammar nazi but this kind of questions the game's authenticity. Anyways, if this game actually existed, ubisoft was better off not releasing it.
Redempteur  +   741d ago
It wasn't a game ... just a concept for it that wasn't done by ubisoft

Umm. This was just fan art :/ Way to blow a story out of proportion and out of context.

I made those screens. I’m sorry internet, I was just having fun when I made them. It wasn’t done for work… Ubisoft never commissioned me to do them. It should be considered as fanart."

I don't care what everyone is saying...assassin's creed IV is going to be the first good pirate game ever made...
