It isn't just the eyes, the animation is way off. The movememnt of facial muscles and the neck is stilted. Maybe the guy has palsy or something.
The blinking is also somewhere along the lines of an individual who is in a pre-Parkinson's state - they have reduced blink rates and partial blinking as does the character.
Is this recorded on PC or consoles? Because it looks really good, but something is not quite right in the animations, could be just me imagining things but it looks off for some reason.
Anyone expecting the detail we saw in the old man demo to be present in the 1st or even 2nd gen of ps4 titles is delusional. Unless Quantum Dreams has a ps4 title deep in production, obviously the fact their games are interactive movies allows a lot more detail on characters compared to games featuring fully explorable world and levels.
Aint like kz4 will have better gameplay because 2 and 3 surely doesnt. Then again maybe you are just trying to prove a point, and are not an ignorant fanboy.
I'm sorry but that's not close to Cage's demo at the Playstation Meeting. As I said in another thread, these still look like computer graphics whilst Cage's demo looks real. And like I said in that thread, there must be more to better graphics than just horsepower.
Yeah, that single head is amazing. I can't wait to push some buttons in sequence and move my joypad in a circular motion to get through his next interactive film.
You do realize almost if not all "gameplay" we've seen thus far is entirely scripted or just video? It might look great and I'm sure I'll probably enjoy the game the same or more than I did HR but comparing the two is only slightly less ridiculous as the demo.
The first two shots and the last are actually from the exact same 10m video (give or take a few) that showed zero gameplay elements (started at a police station and ended just about at those shots).
The main reason the Dafoe shot is impressive is he's easily recognizable but that's been possible for years and upto to Devs and character modelers. That one shot though screams "gameplay" the most (scripted interrogation most likely) as its the least impressive of the bunch and lighting is more off which causes a more plastic/fake appearance--highly detailed but still fake.
The fact is no game has "realistic" graphics or even character models (especially not 100% of the time) but we're at least at the point where highly detailed is the norm and some developers go the extra mile to make them seem more "real" through animation and mannerisms (mostly using motion capture tech). Unfortunately those that do are usually more niche titles (HR and everyone assuming Beyond), make the characters look a little out of place compared to environment (sort of gives a clay animation vibe to me no matter if looks great), or makes smallest imperfection more glaring.
I went off in a tangent there, but whatever. I'll still enjoy both no matter which looks better as its all subjective anyways.
So why is it so popular to troll Crysis 3 at the moment? Its gameplay is no more stagnant then 99% of all the other AAA titles being released. Its a solid FPS.
I hope people treat GOW the same when its released, based off the single player demo its the exact same game we've been playing since 2005, just with shinier graphics.
You're comparing just a head with nothing else being rendered to an entire scene, with 4 full characters and not to mention the actual level with all it's detail. Of course one looks more realistic, but I bet that quality drops through the floor once you get multiple characters on screen along with any sort of background.
Crysis is a mediocre game that has nothing going for its except its GFX engine, and its been used badly compared to what it can do with a quality artist working on it.
The blinking is also somewhere along the lines of an individual who is in a pre-Parkinson's state - they have reduced blink rates and partial blinking as does the character.
The visuals are quite amazing though!
Crysis is an actual game you can play now, the detail seen in demo probably won't find itself in any games released in near future.
Also that character just has creepy eyes. Other models in the game compare more facourably
all the new consoles are becoming more and more like PCs, so if you cant beat em' join em.
DUh urh..........Anyway,The trolling of this guy become so predictable in ALL articles of Crysis 3 that it's not even funny anymore.
Also look at all the people who don't play crysis 3 say it sucks! lmao..
Wonder how pc games will look now that they won't be based on 7 year old machines anymore..
It's shit though.
If anyone is sounding like a salty fanboy here is you.
Logical.

God of war has come A long way with the combat system. Don't get me started with the combo system, magic and puzzles.
Tell me what hack and slash comes close to the combat mechanics of gow?
Santa monica adds to combat mechanics on each and every game, go play gow1 and tell its the same as gow3 & ascension.

Look at this, same as that one head.

Thing is will it really be like that when completed. Also that one head does not look that great anyways. Skin looks quite blurred.
