Homebrew Developer Continues Work Porting Portal To Nintendo DS

GR: "Dat cel-shaded look. I would totally play this. Isn't the Source engine dated enough to run on a 3DS?" (Culture, Nintendo DS, Portal)

Maybe, but the person who added this article is a dumb ass with the "Dat cel-shaded look. I would totally play this. Isn't the Source engine dated enough to run on a 3DS?" statement.

Source has been updated constantly, it will never run on the 3DS, or if it did at an extremely low framerate. I wish people knew what they were talking about before they post stuff.

Looks amazing, even the physics look to be working pretty good. Glad to see this guy take it upon himself to port Valve's game lol

The rights owners should license this and publish it. I would totally buy this.

With enough work, this game could be great.

Don't see a point personally, uber excited for HL3/L4D3/Portal 3 on PC though.

The Source engine isn't dated. It's versatile enough to run on almost anything. I remember running HL2 on a low-end netbook and it worked. I was really impressed.
ElectricKaibutsu  +   803d ago
True. My friend played HL2 on a netbook running OS X running a windows emulator. It was totally fine 30+ FPS.

Jeeze, that's actually pretty awesome
