'The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct' developer on fan-made trailer
The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct's trailer that was released earlier this month was not representative of the game, developer Terminal Velocity has said.

Meh. I couldn't care about this generic looking FPS game. Is it really going to live up to the experience people have already had with the Telltale series?
But their are other "fun, zombie killing FPS" games out there, that's the main problem, there is more to The Walking Dead than that, the comics, TV show and TellTale games respectively all had multiple episodes where zombies would barely be their at all.
The Walking Deads strength is that it's difference and shows an overrun world from a human view and is more "realistic".
A L4D/Dead Rising style zombie killer FPS completely nullifies the reason The Walking Dead is so good and would literally only serve as a name on a box to drag a quick buck in.
I hate interactive stories(I refuse to call them games) but gave Telltale's Walking Dead a try when all the episodes were on sale for $10. It wasn't bad but I would take actual gameplay any day of the week. I also disliked the lack of real choices.
There are better Zombie FPS out there but if TWD: Survival Instinct adds some actual survival gameplay it could be a good game. Worth giving a shot at least.

George Romero did it first in his Zombie movies. Seems to me they ripped off Romero and just replaces Zombie with "walkers".
I doubt this will come close to Telltale's adaptation, but hey, this might be more or less following the show rather than the comic and it COULD be fun. I've always enjoyed the zombies mode in Call of Duty, so maybe this can match (or even surpass it) in terms of fun.
I'd tend to agree with you but this game is slated for a March release and Terminal Reality has just confirmed how poor it looks by releasing official screens. Don't expect it to be much different at release. A real shame. Acti and Terminal Reality should be ashamed.

Zombies is one of the best things about Blops 2 so maybe this game will be a winner!
Actual gameplay footage and the public reaction was bad
That's all that matters. What do they want? A chance to throw in some CGI to cover up the bad gameplay footage? You can't polish a turd.
