Leviathyn.com | I would like to open this article with a statement.. Dishonored is my personal Game of the Year. With that in mind, I’ve collected my thoughts on this inspiring work of gaming to identify five issues and five truly brilliant aspects of this game to let you decide if it’s worth that Christmas money you got this year.
It’s a shame, really, that so few games have “borrowed” Dishonored’s Blink – in the right hands, such a power could be game-changing.
There was a small game called Aragami that “borrowed” the blink, that was a good game.
Unfortunately I heard the sequel wasn’t good so I stayed away from trying it out.
Dishonored's engaging lore, creative levels, and timeless gameplay are well worth revisiting for fans of the immersive sim and stealth genre.
Daily Video Game writes: "Xbox Store has just kicked off Arkane Studios publisher sale, offering up to 80% off on some of the best games from Arkane Studios, including Deathloop, Dishonored, and Prey for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One right now!"
For owners of the PC version:
If you have the PC version of Dishonored, make sure you look into tweaking the config file. The default settings and in-game options are wretched. Tiny 512 MB memory pools, 4x AF, post processing AA only, ect. I changed almost every graphical config setting and forced 8x MSAA and 8x SGSSAA w/ -1.5 LOD bias through Inspector. Looks worlds better now.
Here are some tweaks:
