Looks like it's that time again, where Pokémon games arrive one after another. With Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 already being played worldwide, more Pokémon games are yet to be announced.
(3DS, Nintendo, Nintendo DS, Pokemon, Wii, Wii U)
Sure, but fewer at a time, and of higher quality. And an actual Pokémon God! Who created the world, evolved into our saviour and got caught for our sins! Oh, could you imagine such a world?
They need to get rid of a bunch of the dumb ones that don't look like they could in any way be actual wild animals, like the candle/lamp/chandelier, the ice cream cones, the giant nose, etc.
@eej Too late because now Nosepass, vanilluxe, and chandelure already have fans. I personally love vanilluxe and chandelure even tho I grew up with the original 150
I want a full adventure on the Wii U. With special features like Online Battle Arenas and collectables for your house. Would love it to run off a world clock like Silver/Gold did and updated quests and challenges amongst a community.
I've been wanting that since the Gamecube days! There were two games like that on the gamecube nut it didn't feel open world like the handheld counterparts.
No. They should have stopped after Generation two. I don't even know any pokemon past that stage. Second of all, how are people supposed to catch them all if you keep making more Pokemon? The hell?
And third, during generation 1 where where all the present day Pokemon hiding at? Seem's a bit dumb.
Its not dumb at all. I don't see any komodo dragons and kangaroos in Mississippi, but that don't mean they don't exist. Different continents had different pokemon and for the record snubble marill donphan and ho-oh all show up in season 1 of the anime.
649 last time I checked but I thought I read somewhere when the first black and white were about to release that gen 5 was the last generation and they had 5 gens in mind from the start? I could be mixing things up though.
I've played the crap out of this series and I'm pretty much tired of it. Pokemon mainly targets the younger crowd though, so there will always be new kids to target.
I want more Pokemon. Generation V showed me the series can still change things up enough to be interesting. With the 3DS installment I wanna see some major changes though. I think the series still has tons of potential and I hope we actually see some 3D pokemon on the 3DS
Pokemon got completely out of whack for me when generation 4 came in. At that point I've realized that Gamefreak doesn't really care for the fans. They don't care about guys like me who have stuck with them since the Pokemon Red and Blue days. They just want to appeal to the newer generations.
"Hey, lets add 150 new Pokemon each game, and use the same formula! 8 badges and Elite 4. The end!"
How about an interesting story this time? Maybe we can play as a gym leader this time. And we find out that a secret organization has kidnapped our most precious Pokemon, and we have to go out on a journey to find it. And in the end we find that they have turned your most precious Poke-friend into an evil Pokemon. Now you must endure the emotional crisis of defeating your old friend.
That gives more incentive for the old players more incentive to invest more time into the Pokemon franchise. The series has potential to evolve, but the developers keep reusing their old "genius" formula.
I don't care if they make more Pokemon games as long as they start to change things. I can't think of a franchise that has evolved less over such a long lifespan. There really hasn't been any big changes to the formula since I played Red on my GameBoy Color back in the 90s and I find that incredibly lazy.
I remember the days of Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Snap and Colosseum. Now I look at today and we have some truly embarrassing spin offs like Rumble, Mystery Dungeon and Ranger showing how much a brand can be milked.
Mystery dungeon existed well before pokemon and its a pretty good game formula for replayability. The mystery dungeon game are actually a series in Japan called fushigi no dungeon.
A Wii U Pokemon game yes. One that starts with Kanto and then releases expansions of the future zones, where we can transfer our characters through the expansions.
I agree with so much that is being said, and that says a lot on N4G.
Give us a Pokemon WORLD, not a land. A 3D adventure where you can make your own trainer, adventure into the unknown, and actually be afraid of what you might run into.
I used to love pokemon. Red/Blue/Yellow and Gold/Silver/Crystal were the sh*t back then. I then played Ruby, it was meh, Diamond was a bit better and White improved on some things, but everytime I play a Pokemon game I know how it's going to turn out, 8 gyms, random encounters, get legendary, elite four, gotta catch 'em all...Pokemon needs a serious rebbot, and to be honest, a full 3D Pokemon for the Wii U would be the killer app they need. Just like Mario and Zelda jumped to 3D, Pokemon needs to jump to 3D (those coloseums and stadiums games are not enough).
STARTERS Water-A dolphin that kinda has arms like Kyogre and is able to float. By his final evolution he'll almost look like a whale Fire:A tiger that is black with orange stripes Grass:A Panda that has a bamboo stick for a weapon
OTHERS Spotshock-An electric cheetah An arctic wolf that is ice type..final evolution would look kinda like a werewolf A Gargoyle looking pokemon with wings that is Ghost/Rock type
Then instead of having just one bird type I thought there could be three..a cardinal, a blue jay, and a gold finc and they evolve into birds of prey(thinking red tailed hawk, blue eagle and peregrine falcon respectively). And there will be a special egg item that you can have all 3 of those final evolutions hold and after theyve each sat on it for a time you get a truly awesome flying type bird. Just an idea though.
I passed up on Black and white version. I want a new Pokemon game for the 3DS. I've stopped playing Pokemon after Diamond version and I don't know why because I still love Pokemon!
Sure, Pokemon games never get boring for me. What I really want to see is the Pokemon universe on Wii U, a open-world adventure is something I've only dreamed of for so long.
Sooner or later, there will be too many pokemon. For god's sake, there are enough legendary pokemon now to make up an entire generation. Unless GameFreak plans on tackling the console market and making much more open Pokemon games, they should cut back a little and wait. If not, then I would totally be down for a Pokemon MMO!
Too late because now Nosepass, vanilluxe, and chandelure already have fans. I personally love vanilluxe and chandelure even tho I grew up with the original 150
This is the Pokemon we really need.
And third, during generation 1 where where all the present day Pokemon hiding at? Seem's a bit dumb.
if you never tried it,dont say that its bad
^ edit. damn.
but they didnt release a pokemon mainline game every year!

what i find surprising is that this franchise is still going strong even after being hated and attacked by every nearly community in the world lol
