Nintendo has to reinforce their current line-up to make people want to spend more on the Wii U and not save up for a PS4 or Xbox Whatever.
I assure you that Nintendo will bring the ruckus this coming e3 2013.
My predictions....
First,Nintendo will have a huge line up of games. A running demo of smash bros, bayonetta 2, and a new Mario 3d game(demo) that was developed using the unity engine.
Second, Nintendo will announced a new Metroid game at e3, and that platinum games will be developing for it.Though Part of the reason is because I think Nintendo still haven't found the perfect sweet spot for metroid.
Third, Nintendo will have a new Zelda trailer. Star fox will also have a trailer/Demo.
The new IP from Retro will probably be a FPS that will make full use of the wii U controller. Its will be as graphically more impressive that halo/gears/kill zone.
Oh, Nintendo will announced that most android indie games will run on wii U.
Last, Nintendo will announced a lot of causal games such as wii fit, etc.
