Video game developer Rare is hiring a principal network services engineer which is supposed to work on a new project which uses both the Kinect motion tracking system from Microsoft and cloud based technology, which has not yet been used on the Xbox 360.
Kinect games are good and all for who they're targeted for, but I wish ms would put rare on work on something like killer instinct 3 or kameo 2. I'd easily buy kameo 2, the first one was pretty good.
We have a walker, ladies and gentlemen!
This is the rare of today http://www.youtube.com/watc...
Well, okay, I think we can swing that! Thanks for your input!

Rare has gone through 3 separate mass defections, the Stamper Brothers, who created Rare were notorious for terrible working conditions. Seven day work weeks, 18 hour days and only Christmas mornings off, but you had to show up for the evening shift.
Rare has been restaffed quite a bit, in fact the staff that developed GoldenEye on the N64 had NEVER developed a game before, they were a new side project staff.
Back in the 1980's Rare put out over 50 games on the NES and most were pure crap and shovelware like Nightmare on Elm Street.
Later they did have some great critical and commercial successes, but Killer Instinct Gold sold terribly, Conker sold abysmal on two separate platforms!
Rare developed the Xbox Live Avatar system, they were working on it years before Nintendo introduced the Mii's, if it weren't for Rare, the Xbox Live interface wouldn't be what it is today. Even though people bash on them, they have made the best Kinect title in Kinect Sports 1, they only assisted with KS2, and since then have been hiring for a core FPS and now it looks like they are working with the new Kinect 2.0 which is supposed to feature full motion 1:1.
All Rare has done this gen has released some interesting games, some good, some not, but at least do your homework before spouting off. Maybe if people actually supported titles like Conker, Killer Instinct and Banjo Kazooie, we'd see more games....just so crazy it might work eh?
