Windows PC Sales Down 21% Since Windows 8 Launch

tomshardware.com: NPD has said U.S. sales of Windows devices during the four-week launch of Windows 8 dropped 21 percent when compared to the same period a year ago. (Microsoft, PC, Windows 8)

which means people do not want to buy PC with Windows 8 installed.

That's kind of odd, really. I went shopping for a new PC the two weeks following the launch of Windows 8, and no new computer had it installed-- it was either offered as a free upgrade by the store, or they simply promoted Microsoft's own $15 upgrade promotion for new computers.
