IMGMR reports that the next entry in the Far Cry franchise might already be in the works by Ubisoft, and that we might be seeing it on the next generation of consoles.
(Far Cry 3, Next-Gen, PC, PS3, Ubisoft, Wii U, Xbox 360)
You guys seem to get a lot of stuff from Ubisoft huh? That sounds pretty cool but definitely likely and understandable. Might be a launching title for the new consoles.
I might get disagrees but I wouldn't mind farcry being in arctic environment. Polar bears, killer whales, blue whales, walruses, arctic foxes, tricky ice floors and of course bad guys will be a threat.
This is just getting me excited for E3, the beginning of the next gen is here and I'm glad to see Ubisoft is on top of it. They were extremely present with the Wii U's launch titles so I'm glad to see them so aggressive with the next generation.
wtf.... now a smile from someone means a teaser for next installment in far cry series..... give me a break guys.. plzz... buls*%$ stuff getting approved...
Yeah be also cut the cheese while walking away, which means that Ubisoft is launching their own home console with 8 processors. With practice, you begin to understand sign language better
It isn't unheard of for developers to work on a sequel immediately after their game went gold or get released. It will take them a few years if they want to put effort into the quality of their next game. By then, the loyal FarCry community will be ready for it. Hopefully they won't go the AC route with this.
As most have mentioned, it wouldn't really come as a surprise if they were already working on another. The fact Far Cry is a rather long existing franchise (cross generational) and after seeing reviews of 3 it was pretty much a no brainer that they'd be at least looking into another (and probably DLC as well) even before the game comes out.
I'm in no rush for another though (again, its not even out yet but next week should be a blast) as I rather prefer every 2+ years for a solid sequel as you have plenty of time to experience everything the first has available and then enough 'cooling off' period before the announcement to let it gain attention again. 3 should keep me entertained for quite some time by the looks of it (much more than 2) until something new comes along and even then I have a feeling I'll revisit 3 off and on much the same way I still do Skyrim (as I enjoy the 'make your own fun' adventuring/exploring that open world games allow even after you've actually visited everywhere several times).
I would love to see/hear something about a Farcry 4 later on down the road on next gen consoles though. Just give me plenty of time to experience the third and I'll sign up for another day one purchase if it seems near as good.
Wait so he was asked is this it for far cry and the guy smiled which led to this article

or will farcry be in a jungle or tropics forever?
Maybe it will be in space. starcry?
With the forest, glaciers, lakes, massive peaks...
I can only imagine the possibilities.
Not next gen, but it's laying down the base coat for the shiny stuff.
Good Guy Ubisoft.
Candybooty....OUT
