Assassin's Creed III Review | CheatCC

CheatCC writes:

"Assassin’s Creed is a series I’ve always wanted to love. For one reason or another though, there was always one point in each title where I hit the proverbial brick wall and no longer cared about the game. This is not to say that any of the previous titles where bad, they just couldn’t hold my ever-fleeting attention span. Or, as I began saying, “They tricked me.” It became something of a joke in my household; every new Assassin’s Creed title would be exciting at first, but ultimately I would feel “tricked” by it. So here we are with Assassin’s Creed III. Does it “trick” me, or does it do something else entirely?" (Assassin's Creed III, PS3) 4.8/5

AC3 may be full of incidental bugs, but my god it's good. Once you get to sequence 8 and beyond i'd say it really is one of the best open world titles of the generation.

I was in the frontier during a blizzard. I perched atop one of the highest vantage points and surveyed the snow covered valley beyond. Evergreens blew in the wind and below me two Elk locked horns. It gave the best feeling of 'place' i've felt in a game since RDR.

What Ubisoft needs to do now is release another patch to fix all the little frustrations.

@pintheshadows, spot on mate, not since RDR has a a game done that to me either, the story keeps your interest this time round, I only played about half of assassins 2 and then pulled the pin, I'm glad there is a bit of story/lore to fill in the gaps if you didn't play the earlier ones. I'll definatly finish this one! Good shit
