Eleven great experiences this gaming generation has to offer

VGW's Brian Shea: "We already gave you eleven video game-related things upcoming generations of gamers will never experience, but that doesn’t mean this generation is all bad. In fact, this generation might just be one of the most defining as far as the future of gaming is concerned. Not only have we seen fully-realized digital marketplaces and online presences, but this generation has also granted developers the ability to be as creative as their imagination allows. Check out eleven of our favorite experiences that this gaming generation has to offer" (BioShock, Borderlands, Gears of War 3, LittleBigPlanet, Mass Effect, Mass Effect 3, PC, PS3, Wii, Wii Sports, Xbox 360)

if people would stop being so nostalgic they would realise that this in one of the most diversified generations of gaming and thus one of the most interesting

"most diversified" how you figure, this gen has been riddled with nothing but shooters. maybe you need start being nostalgic.

Oh, come on. Sure, there has been an annoying trend this generation to create and convert games into shooters, but you don't marginilize an entire generation over it's tropes and cliches. A great many of the best games of the generation are not shooters at all.

If we took the worst of every generation and compared them, the results would be shockingly depressing.

I like the choices, one more I would add for me personally, is becoming obsessed with the characters. Uncharted was like a tv series for me, over time I got attached to the characters. I cared about what happen to them, wanted to see more, and yep, even cared about who ended up with who. Lol

COD is in the list but not Uncharted, that's ridicolous!

And the fact that the CODs mentioned are MW2 and BO it's even more ridicolous, the only good and innovative COD this gen was COD 4

I would have replaced getting the highest killstreak with reaching the summit in Journey. Hell, with the entire EXPERIENCE of Journey. Haven't played anything that's been more eye-opening or jaw-dropping, Uncharted included.

I haven't played it yet but i'm planning to!
I'm waiting because every PSN game i buy is given for free with PS+ 1 or 2 months later lol
