Karateka Remake Visuals Cripple Nostalgic Appeal

Not riding what little appeal there is for Karaetka is understandble, but striving for an new fan base instead of trying to excite those with fond memories of gaming in the '80s is a risky prospect. (Karateka, Xbox 360)

I remember playing and finishing the original game on my Atari 800 computer back in the mid 80's. The new art style is what drew me to the remake. If the game plays similar to the classic with new game play enhancements, I'd consider buying the game if it's good.
