Retro Rewind: Dino Crisis

TGC writes: Having thoroughly gorged myself on Resident Evil 1 and 2, I found myself living in the survival horror world day in and day out. Capcom had already won its way into my heart, but little did I know that in mid 1999 they were going to release a game that would instantaneously burrow its way to being my favourite title and franchise. Something that to this day, despite every other game bought or rented, I will still proudly proclaim. That game was Dino Crisis.

I nice little retro review. I actually loved this game back when it first was released and now I have it on my PS VITA. Can't wait to dive back in and give it a replay. I just need to finish FF9 first. (sadly, this is the only FF game I never finished. Got half way through and put it down for some reason)

It boggles the mind that Capcom has given up on Dino Crisis and Onimusha, when they are such great IPs. I hope they make another version of the game at some point.

I would imagine dinocrisis in this gen would be tough to render. with all the big monsters and such, i mean they did make lost planet and dragons dogma, so its not impossible, but horror games are normally in inclosed area's.

meh nah nvm it shouldnt be tough haha

Dino Crisis and Onimusha are some of my favorite games of all time and at first I was sad that Capcom had given up on them but seeing how they have been treating their fans recently and how they have been ruining their own franchises I kinda think it's better they don't touch em and leave em alone.

Dino Crisis, survival in it's purest form.

-Very limited ammo.

-Bleeding not only led to lost of HP but dinosaurs tracking you down.

-Really encourages stealth and other uses of the environment to avoid or debilitate creatures instead of head on combat.

And that's the tip of the iceberg, Yevon knows why this game hasn't been recreated instead of DMC.

Sounds like a game I would not mind one bit to play again haha. At least give us a hd remake Capcom if nothing else. Is that to much to ask?

I wish games today would follow the old Resident Evil and Dino Crisis formula. They were actually genuinely creepy back in the day. Now look at Dead Space 3 and Resident Evil 6...*turns away disgusted*
