Gamers, can you help with PhD Research?

"My name is Alex Baldwin and I’ve been a writer for OXCGN for over 3 years.

In addition to contributing to OXCGN, I’m a PhD candidate in the computer science discipline at Queensland University of Technology, performing research looking into improving the player experience of multiplayer video games.

In order to do this, I’m looking to hear what you, multiplayer game players of ALL experience and skill levels, have to say regarding some specific multiplayer features."

Pretty cool to see video games being used for something other than entertainment.

Anything that changes the public perception that games are simply a "hobby" is a good thing in my book.

Well it is simply a hobby and it should stay that way. They are called video GAMES for a reason.

Ultimately I hope that the results show that the current trend to reward gamers who have lots of time to spend on multi and are experts rather than evening the field in some appropriate way so that casual or new players can enjoy the experience too, needs to be looked at.

I like how in Assassin's Creed, when you are doing well you have more players targeting you. It makes it more fun and challenging for good players while it gives new players a better chance.

Pretty cool survey. Too bad I don't live in Australia.
