Square-Enix is celebrating 25 years of Final Fantasy this week and is holding a series of events to commemorate the occasion. Today’s event was focused on Lightning, the Final Fantasy XIII heroine and the new game that she’ll star in.

there's supposedly going to be more FF game stuff tomorrow at the same time, unless I read that NicoNico thing wrong (which is very likely, given that I don't understand a word of Japanese :P).
The event is a couple of days long, so I'd assume there will be more FF stuff tomorrow.I don't know wether it will be a new game or just some special remembrance of everything FF though.
It should be illegal to applaud to a conference so bad and boring announcing a game so dull that nobody wants...
On the other hand, they should boo them out of the stage though, that would be funny. If wada doesn't give information about FFv13 at TGS people should boo him out! (immature but funny)
What is this obsession with FF13...its considered the worst in the series but its getting 2 sequels...is it because they know they can't do any worst? or If they touch the PS1 era FF that they would ruin it?
The obsession is the main character. Lightning is a strong, talented, and sexy woman. She can easily become one of those poster board characters that carry the FF franchise for a long time the way Cloud has done. Let's be honest, Cloud is an emo bitch, but people love that character.
The problem is that the FF13 world is not what gamers really care for at the moment. In Dissidia 012, Lightning was easily one of the more interesting characters. If Square Enix can get the world just right then Lightning can be one of there best characters to date. That means a lot of money for them so they keep on trying.
It's supposed to be a little more than Hack n Slash. Someone compared it to KH, but they said it wouldn't as much of button masher as KH is. So it should have a little more strategy to it.
Someone tell me whether the revealing image used for this article is an official game image or is it just a fan created one which is used here to try and lure people to read the article?
We didn't use it for hits. I found the image for the article and used it because it's different that what you normally see of her. There's nothing about this story that will draw in a lot of views because a lot of fans are pissed anyways. If it was Versus, all you would need is text and it would get a lot of views.
