Black Ops 2: Where It Succeeds And Fails

WC - Love the series or not, Call of Duty just seemingly won’t die. The 12 year olds on Xbox LIVE are gearing up for Black Ops 2 this year, and no doubt it will reach the insane sales levels of the past few years while simultaneously only receiving a very mixed acclaim among critics if Modern Warfare is anything to go by. It fails because it's one of the Call of Duty franchise.

Releasing a game annually leaves no space for creativity to appear.

And besides, David S. Goyer also wrote the story for Ghost Rider, so without Nolan, he's not much of a good writer.

This game had a lot of potential after MW, but then they had to kill all creative minds by forcing them to come up with ideas for games to be released annually.

Believe me, you'll be surprised with what a developer team can do in just one year. And if you ask me, BO2 is actually looking very creative. I'd say its a "break" from all the generic modern day military shooters. Treyarch is known for their creativity in the CoD games. Their talents really shine in this one.

As for IW. After playing 3 months of MW3, I can safely say that IW is dead.

It failed because of lag. The comical Kill cam at the end of each match emphasized and paraded the lag for all to see.
