An accurate portrayal of Batman was something of an enigma until Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham Asylum in 2009. Many companies had tried, ranging from Sunsoft and Konami in the '90s to Ubisoft and EA in the 2000s, but no one really captured the idea of being Batman in any notable manner. Most of those games were 2D side-scrolling beat-'em-ups, and while some turned out to be good, they weren't so much Batman games as they were games that happened to feature Batman.
And I just realized that comment was way off topic so... I'll agree with Tuxedo Mask. Though it be more accurate to say every game is Call of Duty.
