Is it just me or has Sony gotten better at keeping its work under wraps? This actually came out of no where. The known leakers were saying maybe September.

repsahj21d ago

All of them are focused on NS2. XD

Babadook721d ago

A smaller event in June was apparently rumoured according to ChatGPT. It probably wasn't picked up on as it was a small event.

"Is it just me or has Sony gotten better at keeping its work under wraps? This actually came out of no where. The known leakers were saying maybe September."

LOL!

It´s just you.

Grubb was spot on yet once again.

A new Killzone and new God of War or go home…

Profchaos21d ago

Nah was leaked by Grub just drowned out by other news

InUrFoxHole21d ago

Maybe they really dont have anything to show? New anyway.

Notellin21d ago

Not even close. Their entire operation is full of leaks. Sony can't keep anything a secret that's why no one is excited for their event because we already know what to expect.

It is just you because this was leaked for a while now and they were spot on about the show.

Getting ready for those GaaS reveals! Sony is a shadow of themselves this gen.

ocelot0721d ago

Didn't they cancel most of them?

brew21d ago

They deliver single player greatness.

Released games - Miles Morales , Astro's Playroom , Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart , Horizon Forbidden West , Gran Turismo 7 , God of War Ragnarok , Spider-Man 2 , Astro Bot , etc.

And they just recently announced Ghost of Yotei , INTERGALACTIC , and SAROS to go along with Wolverine. All are expected to be great.

Nothing stops this train , not even some risky multiplayer games. PlayStation greatness isn't dependent on them.

abstractel21d ago

Also, Steam are _thieves_ for taking 30%. That's what Nintendo, Sony and Xbox charge developers on their storefronts. They have to develop hardware which is a much bigger risk compared to Valve and except for Nintendo, they make a loss on hardware in the first year. Want to help, buy from Epic Games, they charge developers 15% on their storefront.

What's kind of nuts to me is that UE charges 5% of your sales to use your engine. Hosting a storefront like Steam is nothing like developing an engine like UE and Valve still have the audacity to charge 30%.

Why would you get downvotes for saying you'll be watching?? I guess I'll be getting downvoted as well because I'll be watching too. Strange indeed. 🤔

dveio21d ago

"I'll be watching, too. Probably, unless I won't watch it, although I wanna watch it, but maybe I don't. Possibly not. But who knows."

TrueRican6921d ago

It's maybe the Microsoft fanboy with they failing system

thorstein21d ago (Edited 21d ago )

It happens all the time here. When people post factual information with sources, they get downvotes.

Then if you're around long enough, you get fans that live to downvote anything you say. It's so weird.

I've even had to block a few people.

1Victor21d ago

Well I won’t only be watching I’ll be listening to too 🤣oh and those disagree are likely from a member with multiple accounts 🤦🏿

It better be good, keeping expectations low.

crazyCoconuts21d ago

It better be good, I expect it won't be good? Lol
So you're most likely going to be angry

pwnmaster300021d ago

Take that expectation and bring it down by 2 more.

I have no faith in SoP anymore.

Obscure_Observer21d ago

"It better be good, keeping expectations low."

I´m hyped!

I´m expecting more Intergalactic goodness, Wolverine´s (Official) gameplay reveal and finally, Cory´s new game reveal/announcement! After all it´s being 7 years in development since God of War. I´m expecting a teaser at the very least.

Fingers crossed!

LiViNgLeGaCY21d ago

You're about to be extremely disappointed, then.

Lightning7721d ago

Intergalactic? That's said to be 2027 too far out and it certainly won't be at No State Of Play.

Obscure_Observer21d ago

@LiViNgLeGaCY

"You're about to be extremely disappointed, then."

We´ll see. Two leaked games so far. None are disappointing

@Lightning77

"Intergalactic? That's said to be 2027 too far out and it certainly won't be at No State Of Play."

Why not? It´s been three years since the last Playstation Showcase. After the backlash, I don´t think Sony will be hosting another Playstation Showcase anytime soon.

Eonjay21d ago (Edited 21d ago )

It would be nice to get more Intergalactic but that would just be extra. For sure we should get Ghost, Soros and Wolverine. That alone would be nice. Anything else would be nice. Some third party of course too so I would be surprised to see Battlefield or something from Microsoft like Hellblade 2. And folks keep saying RE9.

S2Killinit21d ago (Edited 21d ago )

No big reveals i think today

RaidenBlack21d ago

40 Minute+?!
hot damn
E3 started early with SoP.
Hope we get some 1st party goodness at the end as well.

ravens5221d ago

Long overdue for one to actually come out. We've seen a few 1st party games.

Lightning7721d ago

If they keep the formula of revealing 1 first party game each SOP that'll be good. It's not a dump of 1st party stuff but it's better than nothing.

RaidenBlack21d ago

On top of Yotei, betting on something Wolverine and an update on Marathon.
And maybe Lego Horizon Switch 2 update? dunno ...

VersusDMC21d ago

The last one that was right before Summer games fest had a RE4 remake reveal so i hope RE9 reveal is here.

Borderlands 4 offers billions of guns, a non-linear story, and a deadly new world to explore

Borderlands 4 marks the franchise’s boldest evolution yet, introducing a non-linear campaign structure, a new world called Kairos, and an antagonist who controls time itself. Built on Unreal Engine 5, the game enhances weapon customization, expands endgame content, and brings back familiar characters in surprising ways. Sector spoke with producer Chris Brock and lead writer Taylor Clark about the engine switch, narrative shifts, and how they aim to balance chaos with control.
