Bad news for all the YouTubers who is selling or using Fortnite cheats.

Can't feel sorry for you... I don't condone cheaters and then on top of it you advertise and sell it!? SMH

ravinash2016d ago

How dumb can you get.
Cheating and then broadcasting it all over the internet and then trying to profit from it on top of that.

As they should. Cheating runs people off and ruins games. Plus I bet they excepted an end user agreement when deciding to play fortnite and I bet this is in the agreement.

rainslacker2017d ago

If its like the last case, they're suing based on the copyright claim against videos where they demonstrate the cheats.

I dunno if they can sue for selling the cheat itself. The cheat would have to circumvent and use copyrighted code for that.

They can sue if the user they're suing repeatedly violated the terms of service and kept playing even after being told not to, or being banned.

TheDriz2017d ago

For sure that makes more sense. Thank you for bringing more knowledge to the situation. See that’s how you comment folks.

Cobra9512016d ago

I still find it disturbing that cheaters are now getting sued instead of just banned. That's a sea change, which I'm sure is about protecting monetization, revenue streams from online play. Not to condone cheaters (I don't), but I think the AAA game industry has now fully moved into a business model I can't condone either, and which I will never support with my wallet.

rainslacker2016d ago

The ones being sued are promoting cheat tools though. They're actively making it more difficult to get rid of cheaters, because others are finding ways to cheat a lot easier.

Typically, with some things like this, it's easier to go after the source, than to target each person individually.

Marcello2017d ago

Who are these saddo`s that buy cheats ??

Double_O_Revan2017d ago

People that are not far off from the people that hire Fortnite tutors for their kids @$20/hr.

Microsoft should have left them stay 3rd party

GamerRN1h ago

If they are let go, they can be whatever they want. They ARE 3rd party now... 🤦

PassNextquestion3h ago(Edited 3h ago)

Bethesda France was made up of roughly 15 people... they couldn't of being doing much

Bethesda France mainly did publishing and marketing within the region

blacktiger1h ago

that's a shame for you to say that, i'm sure Elite loves hearing what you just said.

Profchaos3h ago(Edited 3h ago)

Bethesda France focused on publishing and marketing in the region. And 15 people lost their jobs as part of the closure.

I wonder if this is part of Microsoft's strategy to abandoned physical media or possibly gamepass advertising makes their roles redundant you don't need to market a game as hard when the majority of players get the game as part of a sub which already promoted upcoming games

Tacoboto2h ago

It's France too, there's a high likelihood only 1-2 people on the team even had an Xbox.

Profchaos2h ago

Possibly guven all the leaks we know the Xbox brand is really struggling in the region.

XiNatsuDragnel1h ago

Tbh Microsoft I think Bethesda being 3rd party same with Activision would probably more competitive than thus scenario imo

Profchaos6m ago(Edited 6m ago)

I think it would have been better for all parties really especially gamers

TheColbertinator1h ago

The recently purchased Activision French offices might take over all the licensing and marketing for Microsoft in France from now on.

I’m Glad Atlus & SE Changed Dates To Avoid Competing With Shadow Of The Erdtree

Saad from eXputer: "I'm glad I don't have to choose between Square Enix, Atlus, and FromSoftware due to bad release windows and Shadow of the Erdtree."

H921h ago

More intelligent than guerilla games

raWfodog3h ago(Edited 3h ago)

Atlus is releasing their game one week before Erdtree, SE is releasing theirs one week after.

HZD released four days before Zelda, HFW released one week before Elden Ring.

It seems to me like they are still releasing their games too close to Erdtree.

Sony Could Increase Your Game's Difficulty If It Sees You Complain About It

Sony has recently published a new patent that wants to dynamically handle the games' difficulty and gameplay based on the player's emotions.

jznrpg4h ago

This is something I might use. Sometimes I play some good games but they don’t have difficulty option and are a little too easy.

Profchaos3h ago

Souls games will be like that players struggling make it harder

PassNextquestion3h ago(Edited 2h ago)

I think if used correctly it could work well
