Naughty Dog Games – The Best and Worst

Naughty Dog games can be some of the best games in the industry. These games are some that have held up the PlayStation in the past and present. Naughty Dog games have been known to be widely respected by large audiences. While that’s all true Naughty Dog games have seen their highs and lows just like any other gaming company.

I have to agree. It was a huge disappointment when the last of us remastered showed up. If it were five years from now I would get it but back to back releases and a promised The Last of Us 2 already :/ usually I respect naughty Dog but with the last of us I really just don't and cant appreciate that.

I really dont know why you hate the remastered version. It has actually improved things in the game and it was 1080p/60fps so that was awesome. You cant expect a full overhaul of the game now, can you?

I honestly dont know what the author is saying by TLOU being the worst, no comment on that one. It was a masterpiece and i would gladly buy it again for full price because it was worth it.

And Naughty Dog made one good game. The rest were amazing. Nuff said.

Idk I agree, somehwat with the author, for me TLOU was an 8/10. It just didn't quite feel right, the controls were too weighty and the stealth mechanics didn't feel comfortable, still a great game though. While Uncharted, (1 and 3 especially) Crash (1 and 3 especially) and Jak and Daxter (1 and 2 especially) remain to this day amoung my top 10 games EVER lists.

Uncharted 2 was the best in the series. Talk about bad mechanics, Uncharted 3 was broken on release, it quite literally ruined the entire game for me. Not to mention you could tell the story had to be changed because of voice actors availability, and Elena's character model was terrible. UC2 was better in every way. I am not even gonna rant about the garbage that was UC3 multilayer.

I'm glad that they did a remaster for the ps4 because it's the only game that I have bought since when I got it on Christmas and has lasted me until today. I just finished the story and I loved the game so much now I'm doing the side story. Now I will wait until bloodborn

@TheSuperior

In fairnes to Naughty Dog. TLOU came out at the very end of last gen and alot of people came to PS4 from 360 and never had the chance to play it. With it being one of the best games last gen it would be a shame if people didnt get to experience it because they never owned a ps3.

metatronx3408d ago

Many others and myself didnt own a PS3 last gen, so TLOU Remaster on PS4 was the best business decision from Naughty Dogs to let people who missed out the game can enjoy this masterpiece.

Bought both, no regret. Your in the minority, so put a opinion tag on your comments from now on.

Joke article, Jak II better than The Last of Us? What is this guy smoking?

He labels it as an unfinished game to draw in people as suckers to spend their cash? And lists it as a bad game just because he didn't like the way ND released DLC and Remastered, how does this effect the actual game quality? WTF. Go play AC Unity, THAT is an unfinished game.

Jak II - Watered down GTA style sandbox, every other mission was some tedious, frustrating mini game, huuuuuge spike in difficulty, terrible level design. Honestly the game should have been called Jak Party 2 with all those annoying mini games.

Seriously the first game in the trilogy is great, the 2nd was far inferior, Jak 3 is a little better but suffers from much of the issues Jak 2 does, it's the only ND game I probably don't like.

WOAH....whats with the hate on Jak II

At the time it was fantastic, it was such a step up from the first game.

I liked the GTA open world gameplay and I hope when Jak 4 is made in the far future they expand on that so we'll have a huge map to mess around in.

They gave Jak character development, created a brand new gritty setting and let you wander off during main missions to collect things or do side missions.

I'm not agreeing with the article but Jak II was still a great game to play

SoulWarrior3408d ago (Edited 3408d ago )

It's the worst of the series, that ND made.

Jak and Daxter was far superior collecting all the power cells and orbs in each unique level, it felt like a massively expanded Crash bandicoot to me.

Jak II had awful missions and almost all of them were annoying mini games, the boss battles are good and the gunplay is alright for its time, I'll give it that.

Maybe I ranted a bit, but that's how I feel about this game after recently playing again with the HD collection.

"The Last of Us was an unfinished game meant to draw players in for money."

May I ask how?

edit: "Other Naughty Dog games where created for the love of the player while the opened ended The Last of Us refused closure for players to string them along to another release."

Did the main theme of the game go right over your head? I didn't think it was that complicated

medman3409d ago

OOps...I disagreed with you when I meant to agree. TLOU is my favorite ND title, with Uncharted 2 a close second. After that, it doesn't really matter, they're all darn good.

jb2273408d ago

No joke...dude obviously doesn't understand storytelling. That ending had absolutely nothing to do w/ setting up a sequel, it was the exact opposite in fact. The reason why a group of fans don't want a sequel to TLOU is because it has already told a solid closed story in & of itself, it stands as a perfect statement that doesn't really require being expanded upon. That said, I'd be all in for a sequel if that's where they go, because judging by their track record, they'll never make a game that doesn't have a statement to make. The author of this article should find a new hobby because he obviously doesn't get this one...the very last thing someone who has no grasp on storytelling should do is writing for a living. Good thing they disabled comments & published it as a 'guest post'...I know I wouldn't want to put my name on such baseless statements either.

Jak II as a Best and TLOU as a Worst? You and me need to have words.

kneon3409d ago

You had better stick to monosyllabic words, otherwise it will go over his head.

Roaddhogg3409d ago

"With that being said their overly controversial The Last of Us DLC as well as the release of The Last of Us Remastered proved that unfortunately Naught Dog blinded players with beautiful graphics and impressive advertisements. The game was created to string gamers along to another multimillion dollar release along with DLC only created to turn heads."

You've not played it, have you?
