Pretty much a won gen for PS5 already in terms of units sold. A 6 million unit gap is significant and won't be reduced no matter what MS does, likely to increase. Sure, it won't be a 2:1 repeat but still a dominant lead for the folks over at PlayStation.

For me I came to the conclusion by asking myself
“if I take GP out of the equation would they still see that same decline?”
They just had mlb the show for the 1st time in Xbox history. MLB the show is filled with microtransactions but was on GP. They just had It Takes Two, yet they saw a 4% decline from 3rd party? What are people playing on the console, it can’t be just 1st party games.
Let’s see if Sony and Nintendo had a decline in a few weeks...
Seems gp is hurting 3 party sales on the platform. Also, no profits, no gp install base update and no units sold? Just seems odd to me.

This will push the price/value conscious gamer over to GPU, once a decent percentage makes the transition over to GPU they will double the price of GPU. People thought that GP combined with the Bethesda purchase was gonna come cheap. This is the issue with subs... I remember when Amazon Prime and Netflix was $4.99/ month.

They pretty much got all the games that were big on XB360, so a smart move. Its not like they closed their eyes and pulled the trigger, they know from history that the games from this studio will always do great on XB and always have.

I expect them to announce the discontinuation of ps4 and a price drop for the pro to $299 on the same day the SX and SS go up for preorder.
Drive the message home by telling folks that they can play cross gen PS5 games on the $299 pro and when they upgrade to PS5 down the road they will get a free upgrade to their cross gen games.
They do sneaky stuff like this all the time.

So scripted the way they talked, sounds like they dont care they just want your money. Always get devs/engineers to talk about your console and their games, dont use corporate executives cause they just come off as fake and rehearsed.
Seems to me MS is not interested in leading the industry by doing what they want to do, they rather build a console around what forum and bloggers want.
