It was literally released on PS3/Xbox 360....
of course they can cope...... will it be the full-mega-ultimate-PC-MASTER-R ACE version? probably not but it will run....
So what? Kinect Sports and Sea of Thieves?
Some Kinect games and an online only title with an expiry date.
Make Perfect Dark.
No they shouldn't, could they? sure but they shouldn't
you are aware that currently 68% of the world market of video games comprises of physical copies right?
Your average joe blogss consumer, eg NOT YOU dosen't buy games digitialy nor even knows about digital distribution.
Own is a pretty strong word, considering Uplay is riddled with DRM, if its truly free, put it on GOG.COM.
Even if they are on sale. I don't own them, no thanks.
Google you are trying to sell a service as a product.
Stadia has a place but it should have been a service model, go the subscription route only.
They confirmed the full game will be on the cartridge now (day one patch may still be there, but they confirmed it's not a mandatory patch/download anymore)
well 90% of Ubisoft's Game Catalog is now ONLINE ONLY DRM filled games, except for Assassins's Creed, Far Cry and Watch Dogs (for now) everything they make is online only games with expiry dates.
Online only games for an online only console/medium....makes sense...
Moby games...
And no offline support that 30% of the community wanted.
No offline = no buy
I play games not hardware
Pick and mix journalism.
Do you forget the massive pollution data centres make?
Have you seen what Googles, Netflix etc servers do?
Yeah....digital isn't clean as people think it is, it's marketed this way to make people think it is...so more people use it.
Because people abuse it, and invent terms like 'game sharing' which don't actually exist and are actually just loopholes so you and your friends can get cheaper games.
Add offline support and give it a legacy.
You can literally do this on a PS3.
Both PS1 games and Dual shock 4 are compatible with PS3.
They push hard for DRM free gaming.
They will get my worship every day for this, online only DRM is anti consumer and has no place in the game industry.
Its stupid, but Sony (and many of the other gaming bigs) have made various patents that have never happened.
eg: Sony patented digital DRM discs/practices, this hasn't happened yet.
Exactly, literally there are generations of gamers who have now been programmed around achievements and reward structures.
I honestly just cringe when I see comments/posts like....
"Fix your game, I didn't get my ribbon when I ranked up! What a broken ass game"
"I've maxed leveled and played the game for 300 hours now there isn't anything for me to unlock, why should I even play it?"
&q...
Honestly, play the underrated Earthfall.
You play games, not hardware people.
You don't know what install base means do you?
When the first Bluray player came out, they didn't stop making DVD's did they?
