Author nailed it on the head. These are the 5 biggest problems with Halo: Reach. Bring the series back to it's roots please.
You've gotta admit, it's clever...
I don't see how anyone could disagree. 5000:1 is terrible contrast. With that said, everything else looks pretty top of the line.
Hope you brought your flame suit. Cause you just lit a load of dynamite with a very short fuse.
I've played it for a while and I might as well note: save often. There's no continue. Do NOT save while you are walking. When you load the save you will be stuck in the walking animation and unable to move. I've had to restart twice already because of glitches and dying. Also, why is there wind on the moon? On another note, it feels a little artificially lengthened by all the walking scenes. Crossing many empty scenes of deserted moonscape/desert gets kind of tiring after doing it...
They pretty much nailed the single player. My only wish is that 343 remade the original competitive multiplayer. Though I see why that would have been difficult if not impossible.
God forbid a developer should develop for *gasp* a console first!!! Epic is the scum of developers!!! /s
Yet with that said, you make a good point. I don't totally agree that Epic has started "worshiping the dollar", just look at all the ideas they took from the community to make Gears 3 even better. It shows they love the community and the game. However, Cliffy can be really... arrogant, sometimes.
It's going to be really tough for me to start associating hardcore gaming with Nintendo! I've always put them off to the side when comparing games, but now they have potentially the most powerful hardware to play games on. It feels strange.
Call me a dreamer, but I think within the next 50 years we will be seeing games you can control with your mind. Maybe only very primitively, but ultimately I don't think controllers will be here forever.
I know already there are games that you can control very basically by concentrating and relaxing. Given a few decades of fine tuning we may see a truly natural-feeling, controller-less game.
Please be an open world city in Mirrors Edge 2! Freestyle roaming would be mind blowing.
That is one snazzy lookin' Xbox.
Edit: Jimbo beat me too it with just slightly different wording. XD
Wait. So no new console that beats the 360/ps3 in terms of raw processing power? I was kinda looking forward to what new graphical limits would be hit with a new console. :(
Thats what she sa... I mean... Yes.
I believe I heard the story would be around 30 hours. I'm 90% sure thats right, but anyone else confirm?
I admit I'm a Disney nerd. So I really am looking forward to this. We all need a little casual indulgence every once in a while.
I think immersion is what it's all about.
It's a... rock...?
Someone didn't watch the conference...
Well we haven't seen it yet so we don't know what it will look like do we?
I've seen some troll-filled articles in my time, but this has got to be one of the worst...
