Josh Brolin would be *the* perfect Joel.

But if it's Bruce Campbell, it could be an incredible opportunity for a vastly underused actor of great talent.

That said ArchAngelMike might have nailed this one, he could really nail the role of David.

They are just holding out till Sony's offer is big enough (read: till they overpay.)

Is why I think they've been denying one-off rights too (Like for Allstars). Afraid it will devalue the brand by proving that demand is more cult than anything.

Don't get me wrong, I hope Sony gets it back, but paying through the nose is excessive.

@Pontiac

I love how some people keep saying to forget about what Microsoft did 1 year ago, as though it's ancient history. Then in the same breath they remind you of what Sony did 8 years ago.

Resolution and fps is overrated???

No, just no.

Games and gameplay are obviously the most important and I can still enjoy old technologically impaired games that are fun.

But resolution improvements are an amazing advancement and seriously improve gaming.

More importantly, high framerate not only improves user comfort and immersion, but in many cases radically effects playability of a game, therefore is directly connected to ...

Woah, high praise. 999 is amazing.

I'll also add that this is *nothing new*.

Super Mario 64 DS STILL sells for $40, same for the Ocarina remaster.

This is part of the industry and is *fully* optional.

The games industry isn't obligated to give you a game because you bought a previous version...or worse, tried to wait out a price drop.

Yeah, I agree.

How is offering a remastered, upres-ed, 60fps version of history's most awarded game for optional purchase a bad thing?

Please stop running these clickbait articles.

Completely agree. To me this list is just more of the "I could do it better, but never will." style of criticism that is destroying our culture.

So sick of people saying the equivalent of "I don't like this, so therefore it is bad."

Whatever happened to "Not for me."?

I've seen so many people complaining about the IQ of these screens. Baffles me. They expect every single angle and scene captured to be perfect and life-altering.

This game will be amazing in motion.

People are also now saying that UC4 will have lower than expected IQ due to the fact that these screens don't look as good as the UC4 reveal trailer...right...so the God of War HD collection set the bar for GOW3?

Oh wait, it didn't...

The platinum rewards are bizarre.

Most of the games are like metacritic 60% titles or games that most people who earn platinum status would likely already own.

People can blather on about how it's ungrateful to complain about free stuff, but it is these kind of value-adds that keep nintendo warm in the hearts of fans.

Let's compare this to PS+. Yes it is a paid service, but considering Nintendo games pretty much never dip in price you...

You're giving a numeric score to a game you haven't played?...

Society has officially jumped the shark.

Worth noting is that some people (bizarrely) claim that 60fps ruins a game. In theory this 30fps option could be for them.

If I recall even a Naughty Dog dev came out and said he preferred 30.

Not me though, bring on 60!

The DLC is fantastic.

I think maybe people are cynical because of all the news about Crytek layoffs/walkouts.

Yeah, this game looks so damn good.

Sick sales. Not unexpected, but awesome.

@No_Limit

My comment wasn't about console wars, just this game.

...but to address the comparison directly, a next-big-thing multiplayer game absolutely should hold value better than a single player only game.

Is why you can find AAA singleplayer games at Gamestop for $15 9 months in and Call of Duty and Battlefield are still like $40.

3579d ago 3 agree3 disagreeView comment

A game being $19.99 a few months after launch isn't usually a great sign.

That said, I'm not down on Titanfall, perhaps a singleplayer campaign in future iterations could help buoy sales. That and 3rd party exclusives are really an anachronism at this point. Best to tap all wallets.

Be careful, you are employing common sense in a thread bound to draw in trolls by the dozens.

I dunno, I think it's a good way of hitting a different note in the market.

I agree with you, I think it sounds like a fantastic bundle. I think many would agree too.
