That is understandable. I mean, it's not like everyone have internet access. Some people don't have internet access, like those third world countires, or people living in the countryside. Or small town folks, etc.

The software part, we don't have to worry about. Sony have a great library already, accumulated over the years from the first EyeToy. They got a lot of stuff in the sdk already. Stuff like facial recognition, spatial recognition, gesture control, skeletol stuff, etc.
Well, seeing as Sony loses money for each console Sony sells, it would be in Sony's best interest to not sell as many consoles as possible and instead, to sell as many PS3 games, PSN games, PS1 games, PS2 games, PSP games, and PSPGo devices as possible. Which is exactly what Sony is doing. In this race, the way for Sony to win is not to win the console sales, but the games + other stuff sales.
What? Sony ain't hiding nothing. In fact, Sony even wanted to give more information than what was requested. But of course, it requires time to get those information together. Which is why Sony will be giving those information to them offline, instead of over a short conference call. I mean, think about it, without graphs and line charts, how will those investors ever be able to understand the numbers?
What? Gears isn't lame. Gears is great. It's just that Live isn't that great. It's laggy. And people exploited that to do all those glitches in Gears.
