with the claim that there's offensive language on Live and Home? (Yes, of course one can block offensive online users on PSN and Live -- surely, this is well known.) Or maybe they don't understand the concept of sarcasm with that "just a fad" statement yet? LOL.
For a guy with the tag "Game Dork" he sure doesn't know much about gaming. You *CAN* already play Call of Duty (and virtually any other PC-based game) in "true" 3-D, using the IZ3D driver. The driver's free, by the way, if you want to try it and have a pair of red-blue glasses.
than by all means, get a PS2. (Indeed, some parents get PS2s for their younger children deliberately so they WON'T be online. Certainly, there's a lot of crude language on Xbox Live and, to a lesser extent, in the heavily censored PSN Home.)
Activision made the decision not to release it; we'll soon know why.
By the way, the grammar in the referenced (aggrogamer.com) article is terrible. If Corey wants to become a games journalist, I wish he'd learn how to write!
is completely inscrutable to me. I can't even figure out how to get started. I might need to *gasp* read the instructions. Old School, indeed.
...to coin the phrase "Bland Hero"?
In Related News, the West Virginia woman has filed a class action against the Internet, which she claims has caused her "loss of self-esteem and "mental anguish," after she read allegedly disparaging comments on N4G, a popular gaming site.
I hate that term, "the Jesus phone." (And devout Christians must dislike it even more than I do.)
OK, so I just don't get all this supposed excitement over Fat Princess? Are the developers and Sony employees astroturfing here, or is this game less mediocre than it seems? The graphics are mediocre, the gameplay seems fairly boring, and it's relatively expensive to boot. I know I'm commiting karma suicide by going against the tide of opinion regarding Fat Princess, but I have to ask -- why are you all so hyped about this title? Honestly, it looks like a Wii shovelware title to me.
over capacity. <Insert PSN joke here.> The performance is terrible.
Great prices, though. (As noted, you have to add to cart to see the discounted price.) Good find!
I hooked up a USB to PS2 Dualshock joystick converter and ran the PC demo. When you press L3 (press down on the left analog stick) a "Connect Nunchuk controller for Wii" message appears, which hangs the program. Weird.
Anyone who's surprised that an Apple product doesn't interoperate "as seamlessly" with other technologies doesn't understand how Apple motivates people to buy more Apple products. Losing the DRM was something Apple did only after Amazon's DRM-free model (and often lower prices!) began really eroding their market dominance.
I also bought it from PlayAsia and I'm glad I did. Wildlife photography (in exotic locations with high-end cameras) is NOT boring for those who like that sort of thing.
Sony should add a "SetUserAgent" parameter to the Setup page or something like that. Then, users could identify the PS3 browser as something Hulu doesn't block.
Not for us Gran Turismo 5 (Prologue and otherwise) fans.
if there is a "Create" option, that is. :-)
Look up "The Miracles" on Pandora, or "The Supremes," or...
...however, as a violin teacher will tell you, it's not that hard for a left-handed person to just "get used to it." It is an initial disadvantage, though.
Any site that accepts ads for fake "your computer is infected!!" scams deserves to die. These ads, which mimic a Windows GUI, are particularly amusing when viewed on a Mac. The self-downloading EXE, not so much.
If it doesn't sell well at the higher price, it will quickly drop to whatever level it takes to move the inventory. Ultimately, the most important thing is to NOT buy it at the full retail price if you want to see this "pricing experiment" fail.
