Busted is the worst boy band I've ever heard. As someone on YouTube succinctly commented, Harmonix should pay ME to play that crap. Surely the Rock Band guys can find *something* better than this dreck. (And apologies to Barry Gray -- I *like* his original Thunderbirds theme!)

Yeah, "recommended" by Gunnar Inc. PR flacks.

But perhaps if CliffyB wasn't so damned annoying....

Let's pretend, hypothetically, that this BIOS update wasn't about OtherOS, but instead was Sony's response to a hacker who somehow -- incredibly!-- managed to use the PS3 to dump the contents of ANY Blu-ray disc out to an external hard drive. And, to combat this, Sony disabled external hard drives entirely, or crippled USB storage devices to a 16GB maximum a bit like the way Xbox's new update does. NOW would you care about what Sony does when it takes away a feature YOU care about? Or what ...

You guys don't seem to get it. GeoHot -- for better or for worse -- is proving that he's the "alpha hacker." And some of those who DID install and/or care about the OtherOS feature aren't interested in piracy, they just want the PS3 features they paid for. Besides, there was and is piracy on the WII (or the PC for that matter), and that hasn't stopped it from having plenty of software. There are many other reasons why the PSP struggles in the marketplace. They've been spelled out el...

Now that would be the best of both worlds. I don't like the app store lock-in with Apple's iPad, personally. I already have the software I want to run.

Look at the side of the car and the black panel on the back at 0:52. I sure hope they fix that before release. All of you who keep saying "just release it already" -- don't rush PD! There are those of us who appreciate the tremendous amount of polishing that Polyphony typically puts into its releases.

Low polygon count in the wrong places. And this is with only 8 cars. Hmmm. I hope his "positive there will be more" comment doesn't mean more low polys and jagged shadows to come. (Surely you noticed those, if not, look at the mirror area around 0:48). I expect graphics that don't disappoint from GT5.

David W. of gamecritics gets my vote as best writer in the games reviewing genre. He shows quite effortlessly just how witless (or arithmetic-challenged, as the case may be) so many of the other Heavy Rain reviewers are.

I think there's a tiny chance this is just a very ill-conceived April Fool's prank on Sony's part, but if it isn't (and I'm betting it isn't), I'm sure there will be a class-action lawsuit, or at least threats of one by the usual gang of money-hungry lawyers, if not on behalf of those universities that invested heavily in massively parallel PS3-based computing systems (which of course, will still work as long as they don't update the firmware), then on behalf of people who are angry that some...

That patch is sorely needed. Fortunately, I lost no saved progress.

These failings didn't impact my enjoyment of the story much. The unexplained origami dog was my biggest "loose end" complaint.

I also find it interesting how "done" with the story I found myself after just two playthroughs. There will soon be a lot of copies of Heavy Rain in the used software sections, I expect. Still, it's a title well worth a rental, at least.

I propose semi-legible headlines, though not always successful, useful, at least to mislead the stressful.

That guarantees it a soft spot in my heart.

I think NFS Shift is the most underrated racing game on the current-gen consoles. It handles well (arcade-y and easy for beginners in the casual mode, but nicely responsive in pro mode), it looks pretty good, it's fun, the progression through career mode is nicely balanced... and EA practically killed *all* enthusiasm for it by releasing that P.O.S. demo for the PC, which was buggy as He11 -- even after the "patched" PC demo was re-released. Considering the bargain price you can now...

This resets my expectations after that crappy GT5 time trial demo.

The "magic card" did almost everything the Move did in terms of allowing you to interact with the EyePet (except you had to draw on a real piece of paper, woo), so I will be annoyed if the remove that functionality for the North American EyePet release.

WildTangent stuff was junk + nag screens. I hope his soul was worth it. Oh right, he sold that to Microsoft long before that.

The idea that this could allow users to play copied games is NOT the reason I am interested (and pirates would be wise to downplay their self-interest in this area, as it decreases developer confidence in the platform). This INCREASES the likelihood that I'll buy a PS3 Slim and further support the ecosystem of PS3 hardware and software. I think many others share this view. Open systems = more reasons to buy. And if we 60GB PS3 owners ever get direct hardware support in Linux -- bonus!
