It isn't hyping anything up. AAAA refers to budget and production values of the game. It has nothing to do them hyping up the quality of their game.

Why are you scared?. This is ridiculous. Fallout 76 was a dumb side project and the way they handled it is not at all indicative of they handle Starfield and ES6. I guarantee they will not fuck up those two games. I trust Bethesda when it comes to their single player games.

It's still not confirmed.

This is not confirmed at all. Wait until confirmation for fuck sake.

Barret's voice actor has already said that he just did voice over work for a trailer so that confirms all these voices for the trailer are placeholder. People need to chill. This is not how any of the characters sounded at E3 or the current gameplay that was released. The game has amazing voice acting.

That is completely false. The lead graphics director for the Luminous Engine told Square to focus a new engine on a single game to first make sure the engine is ok to work with which is why they used UE4 on KH3 and FFVII Remake. The engine is great and there weren't any problems with it. That was complete misinformation being spread around by people on the internet. 1689d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

I would absolutley love a new The Thing video game for current or next gen consoles and pc. The original game did a lot of really cool and interesting things and with todays graphics i think they could make a truly terrifying and unique experience out of it.

I don't think we are going to have to wait for the entire FFVII remake saga to be finished before they release FFXVI. Since they are treating each one of these as a full numbered FF title the next one in line is FFXVI. That has probably been in development longer than the second part of FFVII remake. I would expect that in the next couple years.

@CobraKai: There won't be a "complete" version of the game. Each part of the FFVII remake is a full game and is being treated like a numbered Final Fantasy game which came from Kitase hmself.

Not worried in the slightlest. There is nothing to be worried about at all in my opinion. Everything they showed at Square's conference was amazing and blew every expectation I had out of the water.

Love the name. Can't wait to see what this game is about.

THis year seems exciting to me actually. I don't need to see completely new games for E3 to be awesome. However Fromsoft is showing off their new game so that alone makes be unreasonably excited and also Cyberpunk and FFVII remake. Babylons Fall from Platinum which is a PS4 exclusive will most likely be unveiled at Squares press conference as well. I think this year is gonna be awesome.

We will still get a Cyberpunk trailer at MS press conference so don't fret.

Looks to me they were trying to market the game like a Doom like game with tons of action. The cover reminds me of the Doom cover in a myriad of ways.

@Obscure_Observer: They don't have to have anything "new" to blow their competitors out of the water. Most of their new stuff is next gen related for sure and they aren't ready to show that stuff yet but they still have Death Stranding, The Last of Us Part II,and Ghost of Tsushima which are huge highly anticipated titles and we haven't seen much of them yet. They could show gameplay for those 3 games to get the hype flowing.

@Chocoburger: Thanks man. Yea lots of people keep assuming Square just wants to use this remake as cash grab by splitting it up which is completely absurd if you know exactly how they are developing this game. This game absolutely will be bigger than the original in every dimension. Thinking about it blows my mind that they even attempted it. I applaud Square for doing this. This has got to be the most ambitious gaming project of all time.. Also i find it funny i keep getting drive by disagree...

@Refocusedman: Dude you don't seem to understand what remaking FFVII with essentially AAAA production values actually entails. This is NOT a cash grab. This is a necessity. You mention the Witcher 3 and Red Dead 2 and While they are absolutely huge and impressive games they have nowhere near the amount of unique environments, enemies, magic, summons, towns, insane cinematic set pieces etc that FFVII has. Red Dead and Witcher 3 have a lot of reused assets that they can use all over their w...

It has to be.

@Nintendew: It isn't about it not fitting on a disc dude. It's about how much content and shit they would have to build. The original FFVII is an absolutely massive fucking game and every single town, dungeon, and environment is completely unique. Building all of that shit from scratch would be an enormous undertaking and insanely expensive. Most modern games don't have anywhere near the amount of unique assets being built that games with prerendered enviornments have. Go look at t...
