that's why it was extremely funny for me to see that that unions supported the buyout because whenever a company purchases another big company, the first thing they do is lay off 10% of the employees.
Why would unions support a deal that would inevitably lead to layoffs???

I'm a bit scared, Naughty Dog is kinda missing the PS5 train..
But then I remember how Santa Monica missed the first 5 years of the PS4 era and then delivered GoW.

Dumb comparison, there are tens of billions of computers out here so potentially more gaming-capable PCs.

Which means that with a business model like Gamepass, they'll be less likely to make AAA games as it's hard to make them be profitable without a GaaS component.

MS's bet is that although it lowers traditional sales, it makes the services more appealing and millions of new people will subscribe if they see that good games are added to the service. And in the end, the subscription profit (not revenue) will outpace that of the traditional sales.

However even after 6 years they still haven't reached that point lmao

Stop acting superior. Everbody needs some personal time alone. Being in a relationship or having kids doesn't mean that you have to give up the things you like to do and spend 100% of your time doing stuff with your family.

Nah they lost in every country they sued Apple in. The only thing left is the case against Google.
They did make Apple lower their cut to 15% for devs making less than $1M but Apple did that of their own will, no one forced them.

Didn't Epic lose against Apple for the very same thing?
