Journalist, gamer. Two things that often leave me out of money.

They did not, scott182. They rejoiced and danced and made images in shadows, for they did not know of the power of the Internet.

They were ignorant of everything up until that point.

And thus fire was discovered. Upon the warmth of the flames, they understood what it felt to have knowledge. But they were too late.

To be fair, I'd punch this costumer in the freaking face if he walked back on me like that. What a self-absorved douchbag, didn't have what was necessary to buy the game and even after the saleswoman let is slide, still had the balls to create all this mess because of a silly comment.

As I said: my knucles would frech-kiss this intolerant a**hole.

... Then again, maybe that's why I don't work with sales.

They were on fire, and they still are, commercially.

I was talking to Square Enix's PR manager during the last E3 and he told me that FFXIII, as slammed as it may have been by critics, was the most profitable games SE ever did in the franchise. That is why they released three.

He told me that the focus for the next games would be the new generation of gamers that don't necessarily know about the classics, mostly because they were in greater numbers, a...

As a game journalist, I find your comment very sad. Reviews as tools: they help people judge if they want to invest their time and money into any particular piece of art, and are important as they establish consensus on what's relevant and what's not, hence defining the medium future goals.

It is true that they come with a bias, but this is not bad, it is good! This bias is what pushes the discussion on what a good game is. What is wrong, and should be noted by anyone...

That's... that's really sad to read.

Very true. I tested it recently, felt SO MUCH like Mario Galaxy, but with a few different mechanics.

Actually, it was the most fun I had with the Wii U apart from the Wonderful 101.

I'm still waiting for that true Mario of the generation. No Wii U for me until it comes.

And yet, they approve games like GTA and Modern Warfare.

If it's not because of the killing, not because of the comedy, not because of the language, what are they censoring?

I tell you what: a difuse feel of perversion. They can't really touch it, yet they fear the medium for boundaries they don't understand.

People that didn't get the joke, listen: they both have been involved with a ton of games!

THAT is the joke.

Hell, George Lucas even created a company to make games. And Spielberg went as far as directing many of them, praising the medium in countless situations.

Don't believe everything you read, guys.

No shit, Sherlock. Must have taken multiple rocket scientists to get there, here's 3 golden stars.

Apparently, there's a need to exteriorize the feeling. Good for them they got it out of their system, maybe they'll put out a good game now.

Well, they can't.

Not unless they stop pretending we are in 2009.

Remember, zod18: Kotick is the guy who has said in the past that "developers should always be told they are under a terrible economy, that nothing is certain in the business".

He uses that as a weapon to run Activision by fear and rip teams as he pleases, without any consideration for their artistic integrity, and it seems to me that he will be exploiting feelings of uncertainty to the extent he can get away with once again.

Such a snake, this man. ...
