I bought the Collector's Edition at full price and have zero regrets. Obviously the graphics are top notch and one of the best looking games ever. The voice acting is also top notch. The gameplay is very familiar and plays really good. One of my only complaints with the game is that the fun guns aren't available more often. The thermite rifle is so much fun and looks amazing when you ignite the cloud, I just wish I could carry it with me more often. I might not use any other gun.
Did you even watch the video?
Using a couple "bonus" discounts, I snagged an Xbox One Unity bundle during a Lightning Deal on Amazon for just under $270. It also comes with 12 months of Xbox Live Gold and Zoo Tycoon and Max: The Curse of Brotherhood.
Score for me!
The Iron Man is the best haha.
I really don't see why people are saying Watch_Dogs was over-hyped.
Sure the graphics were downgraded, but the game plays pretty close to the original gameplay reveal.
I've played the campaign twice and think it's a phenomenal game. I love the entire cast of characters, including Aiden. I didn't like the driving initially, but I got a feel for it and can appreciate the handling, physics and lack of realism.
My biggest complain...
@Steelmanner
"People didn't like Halo 4?"
People seemed to like the campaign, which is solid and the best looking Halo game, but multiplayer is pretty bad and the player counts are incredibly low. Even before new-gen consoles released, people weren't playing the mp.
$399 is still too much for a console whose games don't perform as well as on the competition's console.
It's one good $50 discount away from reaching how much I'm willing to spend for it.
$400 - $50 (random sale) - $35 (10% employee discount) - $60 (instant savings for applying for the Amazon Credit Card = $255. I've said all along that around $250 would the sweet spot for me getting one.
MS has ZERO to do with this. The price-drop is on PRE-OWNED Day One Editions at one UK retailer.
I always think of Mass Effect (Biotic powers) when I see Destiny in action.
Hopefully Watch_Dogs has a better ending than GTAV.
The ending kinda came out of nowhere, felt rushed and very anticlimactic.
Some of us that don't have any desire of owning the Kinect would rather get it without Kinect AND cheaper than PS4.
If Kinect adds around $100 to the price, and they sell a SKU without Kinect, that would make it $399, BUT the Xbox One is weaker than the PS4, so some of us still wouldn't purchase it at that price due to it being weaker.
Personally, I can't see paying more than $299 for it. I just don't value it the same as the PS4.
Agreed. Even if the graphics are downgraded from whatever, I don't care. It'll still look amazing and the gameplay looks like it'll be great as well. That said, I'm most excited about the story. The bits we've gotten in trailers look great.
Yeah, the particles seemed rather floaty as well, didn't have much weight. Regardless of the minor issues, it's pretty impressive.
Pause it at :28. The vehicle clipped through the orange wall, and a lot of it was left undisturbed until it bounced.
@christocolus
"Look at the 360 and how ms kept updating it"
Except the 360 got worse with all the updates. The original blades were great. Now the dashboard is a big mess.
They didn't see much because the Halo fanbase was alienated. That can be seen by the amount of people playing Halo 4 mp.
Uncharted 2 was great right up until the last couple chapters of the game.
Halo 4 is not great. The multiplayer is even worse than Reach, which was worse than Halo 3.
The campaign was solid, but nothing more. It was definitely the best looking Halo game, but that's about it.
I love this kind of honesty. They made a game that they wanted to make, despite having the feeling that it might not be as successful (commercially) as something else they could make.
@Phunkydiabetic1 - He's saying when the console dies that has the patches. If your console dies, and the servers that offer those patches are no longer supported, then you're screwed.
