Does anyone recall the Wing Commander cartoon show? That had some quality episodes as I recall.
I wonder if anyone remembers the other Sonic the Hedgehog TV show. As I recall it followed the comic book series pretty closely and although it too featured Urkel as the voice of Sonic, it was pretty good as far as VG inspired cartoons go.

I would agree that in terms of RPGs the East just isn't hitting with the power it used to. That said, I'm not sure if its because they haven't evolved or if they simply haven't been putting out games of a high enough quality to compete. There is still a niche out there (which includes myself)that enjoys well made turn based games. The problem is that for the most part the recent releases in that category have been largely mediocre. Sorry, but plushies are stupid and I wasn't impressed by the diecast replicas. If they were lifesize, maybe, but who wants to play with a gunblade that's only 1/6th of the real thing?

I don't know why everyone knocked this movie, I actually liked it. I never played the original game but I'm looking forward to this.

Meh. GTA has really fallen off the radar for me. One can only steal cars and beat down hookers so many times before it becomes routine.
If you like Starcraft I strongly suggest looking up Conquest: Frontier War. The game is very similar to Starcraft what with the three alien races (one human) fighting each other, but the gameplay in my opinion is much deeper. You have to watch supplies, hold wormholes, etc. The game is just great and it runs insanely cheap.
I know, but the amount of time you'll spend with the game made me feel it was worth it.
I too missed out on Starcraft initially. I actually only ever played it on the N64 and I loved it the entire time. Such a good game. I would always love playing as the Terrans and then setting myself up against a ton of Zerg comp players to see how long I could hold out against incessant rushes. You have to love the siege tank!
The only assassination game I'm interested in seeing is a Hitman sequel! Come on Eidos!

I like that the game doesn't try to take itself too seriously unlike other zombie centric titles. Honestly, were we really expected to believe Jill Valentine running around in a mini-skirt a la RE3?
Good review man. I just got my copy (for free by the way! Trying to break into gaming journalism certainly has its perks) and I've been playing it like crazy for the past two days. I haven't beaten the single player campaign yet, but I already feel a bit disconnected from the story. It is just a bit too generic for its own good.
