It's a total rip off but never underestimate the level to which a scalper on ebay will sink. I tried to get it cheaper from Konami but I couldn't understand the Japanese and google translate didn't help either. I couldn't even get registered on Konami Style infact so I gave up and got it from Play Asia. Did you have to go through a Japanese middle man company for shipping?

I saw people bragging about getting the Euro and North American Special Edition before it sold out but I am so happy I pre-ordered the Japanese Premium Package. Twas expensive (especially shipping) and I imagine when it gets closer to September it may pop up again, just don't expect to get it for under 800 Dollars.
Best Buy Gamers Club is only 30 Dollars for two years now so if you sign up for that you're already getting it discounted. I already bought the Japanese Premium Package so unless it magically has an English Lang option I'm going to have to get an English copy too.

Hideo Kojima brings in Sutherland for Ground Zeroes, has everyone up in arms thinking the Voice of Snake has been replaced and Kojima has effectively *sold out.* Then The Phantom Pain releases and everyone turns on the game and in the opening credits: "David Hayter as Big Boss" ..And the people. go. wild.

What grade of meth is being smoked over at Konami atm? I honestly am still convinced this is just Kojima trolling on a legendary scale. I mean what's next they're going to tap some cheaper British actor to record the lines? I wouldn't be surprised if they choose someone as outlandish (for the role) as Sutherland like Alex Pettyfer.
I love him as an actor, but the voice work in Ground Zeroes felt very phoned in.
Makes me sad thinking Kiefer Sutherland is probably going to sound as bad as he did in Ground Zeroes for the English Version. (Long exhaustive sigh)

I'll admit I've watched the Frank Jaeger conspiracy videos and I'm thinking, that Kiefer Sutherland is voicing Gray Fox (who we think is Big Boss from Ground Zeroes) and somewhere mid-game the Real Big Boss shows up voiced by David Hayter. I want to believe Solid Snake makes an appearance and I do think he will but he's going to be as young as that scene with Liquid. These are like 12 year old boys. There's no way Hayter can pull off a 12 year old Solid Snake.
