Actually both are accepted usage. One's sardonic, the other's literal.
What's any of that got to do with anything, though? Pulling a random game out and saying 'see it's 60fps 1080P!', devoid of context.. it's irrelevant. Have to compare like for like or it's pointless - and there is no version of Forza 5 running on ps4, with identical graphics, to gauge how it would run there..
The hardware on the PS4 is more capable, in some cases considerably more capable (eg. double fillrate).. There's no rational reason to thi...
Think so. There's no reason the console with double the fill rate of the other, fifty percent more texture units etc (and this is before deducting for kinect), as well as advantages in memory and significant advantages on the maths front (alogrithmic logic units) 'shouldn't' translate some of these advantages to graphical boosts in the real world.
For Xbox fans to be 'celebrating' parity (in this context) is frankly as obnoxious as any of the ps4 fans...
Lol. Some cherry picking going on there..
I don't completely dismiss your point - mischievous pro-Xbox1/anti-ps4 list choice tactics aside - but can risk going too far with it.
Looking at the games in the 90%'s you've listed there, all three of them are 'gorgeous' games. The graphics of them are sublime. Did they need next gen tech? No. But could they have been what they were without pushing the edges of (at the risk of offending WiiU ...
Maybe in a years time you could say that. As at the moment it's had one delay with no firm date for it's release set yet, but they are routinely providing new video's etc demonstrating the ongoing progress - which, at least from a visual standpoint, is quite significant. And also this ongoing info makes the comparison to The Last Guardian - a game with no new information/community involvement in it's development - a little silly.
I think it's simply a ca...
On a list i'd care about gameplay more, but in open worlds there is something to be said about the details of the design creating a sense of immersion.
Part of the fun for many people of open worlds is simply wandering around in them. Escapism of it. And a big part of what makes them inviting is the details.
The old shots made the game look 'inviting'. Like there'd be fun just walking around the city watching the night effects, the wind etc...
@nightsurge
True, but on the flip side he also didn't 'deduct' anything from either the kinect/non kinect scenario's.
If Kinect is in use, actually take off 10% from the GPU specs, and even when it's not in use 2% needs to be deducted from the XBox1 GPU specs - and consequently be added to the '% margin' on the PS4 side.
Be surprised if there aren't some comprises to get that Xbox1 version to 960p. The difference in hardware is more than a 960P versus 1080p difference (double fillrate, 50% more texture units etc etc - these gaps slightly more wider still if/when you take away power for Kinect etc).
I'd say the Xbox1 version is probably running less effects than the PS4 version also, and/or possibly will have a slightly less stable framerate. Just hope the Ps4 version hasn't been...
So basically they're selling as many as they can make. Awesome.
Would there be a market for it?
Bummer, but as long as it's good don't mind.
About to say - Bigpappy trolling PS news/article.. No suprise here.
Is there a way to 'backup' files on uplay? If there is i can't figure it. I've logged into a mates account on Steam a couple of times to download games he's bought and then put them on a portable harddrive to install on his comp (or backed up my own copy, if we both own it) - is just a favour; he has very limited internet usage allowance. From what i can tell backing up isn't even possible on Uplay. Which seems... rather poor, even 'primitive'.
Other accounts out of bubbles?:)
Nothing personal, but they really should find a way to block/ban people who have multiple accounts here. Obviously if you're doing this, and in a position where you have to do this, you're up to no good.
ed: And now you're bubbles have jumped from 3 to 5 in space of 10 minutes. lol. Whole site's a piss-take.
As a ps4 owner i'm hoping for the best, but realistically i'm not sure ps4 has the power to pull this off. (unless there's some special hardware within the unit - a few extra chips to mirror performance to the second lens or something; i don't know). PC really takes high end stuff to get your 1080p type performance punching to each eye on one of these type of things (ie. hypothetical consumer oculus rift etc).. i just can't see how the ps4 as it stands pushes enough powe...
Surely you are aware there's time zones outside the US?

Bit different. I've got no problem with MS paying third parties to develop game ideas for them, or funding studios ground up to make something or even buying the studios - it represents a sincere commitment rather than purely opportunism. Though the output is exclusive, it adds something to the industry overall (which wouldn't have been there without said funding/arrangements).
Paying a company to 'not' release something on a competi...
A million copies on an install base of just a few million isn't enough? Sheesh. Add in the fact that this particular genre it's competing with one monster game - Cod - and one fairly huge game - Battlefield - all released simultaneously and i'd say it's done better than anyone's best hopes.
.
Amusing how people are trying to preemptively stitch it up. '60fps or doesn't count!' Lol. There's no way a game is going to look this good and do 60fps, which those setting up this hurdle damn well know. Trolls.
