I'm glad to see that the Naruto games are improving. I don't have an Xbox, and I wouldn't exactly call this a system seller :D, but hopefully it paves the road for better anime games.
Good summary Karl. Except the sales jump had more to do with the holidays than Gears of War. Although I'm sure people will attribute the coming PS3 sales jump to Uncharted...

I can't wait for the good MMORPGs to hit the PSN. And it's awesome that they'll be free to play. The microtransactions thing, IMO, is a solid business model. It's the same deal as all the downloadable content, and expansion packs, where you get to choose what you want to add to your game, but you can play the main game as long as you want without a forced monthly fee.
Your comments just get dumber and dumber. You pay your service provider for the hardware to connect your home, not a net access fee. It's like asking if you have to pay for a TV to watch TV. If you log on the internet at a wi-fi hotspot, do you have to sign in with your credit card? No, because the information itself is free.
Did they rename some Holiday Gears of War? Because I could have sworn console sales spikes had everything to do with Christmas, and very little to do with specific games.

Fair enough.. If a console has what you personally want, and you can afford to shell out for all the add-ons, and upgrade it in a few years, by all means, buy it. I'm just mystified by all the anti-PS3 sentiment that seems very baseless.
but, as a girl on N4G you wouldn't exactly fall in with the average female crowd. And, to Red, of course you know more guys that like the wii, there are more guy gamers in general, they are just taking equal proportions and checking what they prefer.
This is why I'll never understand why people complain about the price of the PS3. It's full of top of the line technology to carry through the next decade... Really, why would you want a "half-generation hop" that you'll have to replace in a few years?
Because PS3s stay running long enough to do so? :p

While this could be useful if done well. I'd rather stick to using Bittorrent to download and TVersity to stream. That way I can watch whatever, whenever, and no commercials.. oh, and for free :D.
