Now if you're sneaking into your wife, and she is also wearing cardboard armor, and she consents to have sex with you, you just knocked out pretty much all the problems. No rape, no breaking-and-entering, and a little role-play in the bedroom is perfectly fine.
On Topic: Ditto to what everyone else said. The murderer is messed up, and needs to pay. And D&D had nothing to do with it, as we all know.
I'm pretty sure that was sarcasm from his part.
I highly doubt that someone who's active on N4G, a gaming news site, actually wants games to be banned.
@ CasualFeat
Did you really just waste your time trying to list every PS3 exclusive? Do you feel better about yourself now? What are you trying to prove, exactly?
It's funny how upset you guys are getting about this article, when it's not attacking or comparing anything. All it's saying is that if every game is on every console, there is no reason to own multiple systems. Why do you have to turn that into a contest?
Why not actual...
Glad someone paid attention to the actual point of the article, instead of rambling about who's games/console is better.
@ Tommykrem
Ok... your car analogy really does not apply, because the difference there is due to price. If the Pagani cost the same as the Volkswagen, we would all be driving the Pagani.
Metal Gear Solid 4 and ODST both cost $60 at launch. It's not like MGS was $100 and ODST was the cheap $20 alternative that people got...
Or are you trying to say that higher sales doesn't mean better quality? Because if so, I agree with your point, e...
Only three games on that list that I care about are Twisted Metal, Last Guardian and Journey. You haven't sold me yet.
Most the games I want this fall and next year are all multiplatform, so I can get them wherever I want.
Whether or not exclusives are "coming to an end" isn't the point of this article. It's about whether that trend is good or bad for the industry.
I agree that exclusives are becoming a dying breed. But I don't think they should be.
And a big Sony exclusive going multiplatform has the same effect as a Microsoft exclusive going multiplatform. I'm pretty sure there were no console war comments in this piece.
It's fun to hit them and then watch them squirm, before stepping in to put them out of their misery.
Yeah Modern Warfare 2 is difficult, but at least you can work your way up and still earn kills and progress.
I mean, the killstreak rewards are a huge pain in the ass, and are a really bad idea imo, but with the proper custom class to fill your style you can still do ok.
Most of those games are quite annoying or difficult to play online, as I've tried most of them.
Gears 2 is the most annoying in my opinion, the online competitive modes had so much potential, but are so poorly balanced and the match-making takes so friggin long.
I mean, chainsaw rush and active-reload shotgun blasts are pretty much the only way people kill each other. Unless you managed to grab the longshot or torque bow, of which there's only 1 in th...
Wasn't a fan of the previous ones, so this had better be an improvement if it's going to attract me.
Gears 2 is hard to play online due to the poor balancing of the competitive modes...
And while Modern Warfare 2 is difficult, it's not that bad if you've played through the campaigns on Veteran. I started the online recently, and did waaay better than I thought I would.
Hmm, sounds like the game got pretty frustrating, but the final score is still pretty good. Maybe it's good if you're into the traditional RPG's?
I'm not saying that there was a First Person Stealth genre, I'm saying Thief isn't a First Person Shooter.
But that really doesn't matter, because I never claimed it was the first melee weapon in any FPS, in the first place. You all just misread that sentence (I changed it btw to avoid confusion).
And the Energy Sword may not have had any special powers or anything, but as I said at the beginning, part of the ranking was based on popularity an...
If you're waiting for anything from World of Warcraft to appear in my top 10 articles, don't hold your breath...
Although I did consider the Sword of a Thousand Truths as an honorable mention.
And to those who like Soul Reaver, sorry, haven't played it myself, so I didn't think to include it. But Masamune? Or Pyramid Head? Trying to use some mainstream weapons people will have actually heard of...
Not First Person Stealth, or First Person Action. Why are there so many people on the internet that think any game in 1st-person view is automatically an FPS? Think things through, people.
And I said "THE" FPS gameplay because I was referring to the specific gameplay of the Halo series. It was the first time melee weapons were included in Halo. If I had meant the first time ever, I would have said "introduced to the FPS genre" or something of that nature. ...
Was wondering if this game would be any fun, since my gf wanted me to buy it. Looks like the answer is yes :P
Thanks for the review!
They should do stuff like this more often. I mean they make a ton of money off of all that little DLC stuff, why not give some of it back?
The Modern Warfare one is a huge rip off, I agree. And a ton of the DLC out there is stupid, either just skins or a couple extra maps for a high price, etc.
But there is some really quality stuff out there as well. The DLC games for GTA IV were awesome, and were basically brand new GTA games, but for only $20.
I also liked the DLC chapters for Resident Evil 5, they were only $5 a piece and also came with new Mercenaries characters (on top of the entertaining ...
Unveal would be 'lacking meat of a young calf'
I don't feel like reporting this for such a stupid mistake, but please edit and fix it. It looks pretty bad to have an obvious error in your heading.
And since it's both here AND on the actual site, I'm assuming it wasn't just a typo, that someone at the site doesn't know the correct word.
