The PS3 dumped the Xbox 360 into last place despite Microsoft rushing their underpowered and poorly designed console out the door a year early.
All while the PS3 was 200 dollars more expensive than the Xbox 360.

Stores are already reporting massive numbers of Switch units being returned. Looks like people are playing Zelda and then dumping the mediocre little portable since there is nothing else worth playing on the system.

They were called Skill Points and were a very cool way of adding value to games.
Microsoft did a poor job of copying Sony's Skill Points when they renamed them as Acheivements because they were nothing more than a way to get Xbox owners to buy junk titles to pump up their complet...
No one other the hardcore Xbox deadenders are going to waste 4-500 dollars for a machine with the same tired old Xbox exclusives Halo, Gears, Forza and upscaled current gen games.
Developers aren't going to target Scorpio with such a tiny installed base when the PS4 will have an installed base of 75 million or so by the time it finally launches.
And with the PS5 most likely launching a year or two later with graphics hardware that will make Scorpio lo...

I can't think of any year going all the way back to the Atari 2600 fourty years ago that had anything close to the amount amazing games being released for a single console like the PS4 in 2017.
The PS4 is outpacing the top selling console of all time - the 155 million selling PS2 - at the same point in their respective lives.
While the Xbox One is bombing just as badly as the first Xbox marketplace failure with only 24 million sold after 3.5 years.
But what about Zelda???
Oh wait...
