I got one of these for xmas. It takes a while to setup and calibrate, but then it's freakin awesome.

It's a relative 10/10. You can't judge every gaming genre on the same merits. It's probably just that RB3 is the best RHYTHM game available and the game itself has very few flaws.
It's not the game content doing it, its the competitivness of it and all the shit they talk online.

The thing adds a much bigger challenge for gamers looking to spending gaming time becoming leet and it caters to ppl who were maybe thinking about getting a real guitar and ppl who already have a guitar but cant be stuffed doing lil jam sessions by themselves.

If you have a real guitar you can buy the game, go into practise mode and play to a song minus the guitar track with the tab scrolling down the screen. That alone would be awesome.
Yeah, there will definitely be support for real keyboards. Madcatz are releasing an official lisensed MIDI>Game Controller device that can be used for either keyboards or playing drums with real e-kits.

The GH franchise lost it's identity as soon as Neversoft took over. Harmonix know how to do it right, just look at all the metacritic scores for the Rock Band franchise.

There is a stringed guitar coming out. It's made by fender and can be plugged into an amp and played like a real guitar using real pickups on real strings.
Its neck has sensing technology it in that tells the console where your hand is. It's not some plastic thing with a touch sensative neck, also the stringed on has a full 23 fret neck

looks freaking awesome but it's a little worrying that the end of the trailer has GAME credits then TRAILER credits. Like the people who directed/animated the trailer aren't involved with the creation of the actual game.
