I thought I was going crazy! There were like 3 stories posting the same info yesterday...
I hate when people are like, "OLD!", but seriously, there have been a bunch of articles about this (and pics of the keyboard device).
Hell yes indeed! Geometry Wars is hands-down my favorite XBLA title to date - I'd love to see what they come up with for a sequel. :)
I'm pretty sure they said that the X button is for "Deploy Equipment" which includes the sheild, trip mine, and gravity pad. At least I think that's what they said...
And I thought it was acting fishy - now its confirmed. This sucks... I wonder how to go about getting this exchanged...
With GaMr here... that's just ridiculous. What about Bungie, FASA, etc.? Those are just the first 2 that came to mind, but there are several other U.S. devs that put out great games.
It's a stupid and untrue statement, and I'm surprised they would say something like that.
Eh... not for me. Sure its nice, and I certainly wouldn't complain about having it, but those features just aren't enough to make me "long for it."
If I had a nice surround sound system and a 1080p TV - maybe I would change my story.
This actually sounds pretty good - not too much by way of innovation, but controlling drones and 32+ player online battles definitely sparks my interest a bit.
Not to mention that the Unreal 3 engine is sick. I've pretty much loved all the 360 games that are using that.
Cool to hear that - the game was looking a shambles. Honestly I almost didn't even open the link because I was thinking, "ugh".
But the IGN fellow seems pretty impressed, and he's rekindled my interest. Looking forward to some gameplay vids.
Makes perfect sense - glad to see this. :)
While you can certainly play this game run & gun style, you probably won't last too long. There is so much strategy and team tactics involved on so many different levels of this game.
I think fans of GRAW and Gears who enjoy teamwork and strategy are actually going to like this game more than fans of pure run & gun FPS will. I've gotten about 40 - 50 matches under my belt now, and I still haven't even come close to learning the best tactics given certain situations....
This game's depth and quality gameplay are absolutely astonishing... I feel extremely privileged to be helping test this out, and I can't wait to get my hands on the full release.
Shadowrun's learning curve is STEEP - that is certain. But once you start getting comfortable with the abilities and controls, you're going to be in awe of this one :)
Seriously, though, I'm really excited about that. :)
Looks amazing... I thought this game had kicked the bucket, but I'm very glad to see that I'm wrong about that!
Now please tell me it's 4-player over XBL...
What a cool thing to do. Rock on, RockStar :)
They look great... I haven't heard of this game until now (or maybe I just forgot about it). I'm off to do some reading on it - the city screens look amazing. All the graffiti on the walls, etc. Awesome.
This prompts the question: Will we see a similar demo on XBL? I sure hope so!
I doubt it - just think about GTA:San Andreas. The main/leading character is black and it is one of the best selling games of all-time.
Yep this headline is COMPLETELY ridiculous, as was the original story. They took it out of the Bungie weekly update where they said that it "MIGHT" be looking more like late spring...
The licensing/royalties argument is completely ridiculous - you think iTunes doesn't have to pay royalties? Of course they do, yet they charge $1 per song AND STILL MAKE MONEY (quite a bit of money, actually).
And sure, the devs put work into making the tracks interactive, but that gives them the right to charge us $1.25 - $1.50 maximum. Sorry, but 9 songs (some of which totally suck) should not cost me $19. Red Octane is absolutely screwing us, and I'm really disappointed ...
