I can't believe how this has been escalating

We definitely need more Calling out of the Media elite, specifically Polygon and Kotaku

GameInformer LITERALLY just ran a 20-page feature on the PS4 last week. GDC was a huge event for the PS4 as well. It's hard to find a major gaming site which doesn't have a PS4 article on its front page right now. And nothing generated more hype for the PS4 than the always on rumors and Microsoft's continued silence on the issue.

I like Pachter, but I don't think he has his finger on the pulse of this one.

It's sad that in 2012 you still see people say Halo has "ingenious design of weapons and vehicles" yet can't say one word to back it up.

Killzone 2 was way ahead of its time and still is to this day. It has the best implementation of a class system in a shooter to date, with every class being able to turn the tide. The seamlessly changing game-types of Warzone has yet to be replicated in FPS and makes KZ the most uniquely dynamic MP shooter. The maps complem...

The problem isn't the marketing, Resistance just isn't a powerful name in a heavily packed marketplace. The generation is getting old, we have developers who have been making some really awesome games, especially in the shooter genre and this season may have some of the best shooters of this generation. Not to mention the PS3 already got the fantastic Killzone 3 earlier in the year. R3 was sent to die and no amount of marketing could change that.

Sony has some insane ...

Actually covers are very much in violation of the copyright act, one of the key rights granted to copyright holders is to publicly perform their works. Music publishers have teams of trolls that go to local bars and restaurants to check if anyone is infringing on their copyrights.

The letter cited is dated February 20, so I don't know how real this is. If they claim fair use and start by citing campbell v. acuff-rose, they might have a shot, but I'm not so sure, sinc...

As annoying as hiding spots and verticality are, cutting down on them is a mistake. Black Ops did it and after a few months of play, you know exactly where everyone is coming from, the gameplay loses a lot of freshness. I think they're sacrificing their game in order to avoid the flamers on message boards hurting their feelings. And that's not good.

The game's going to sell 20+ million copies anyway, might as well make it something that stays fresh for a whole yea...

Agree on Nightfire, that and Agent Under Fire before it were two incredibly fun multiplayer shooters last generation. Along with From Russia With Love, I think EA has done a much better job with the Bond license last gen than Activision has done this gen, but like I said in the article, hopefully they can pull something off real nice this time around, especially if it's Raven working on it.

Part of why QoS multiplayer was interesting was because Treyarch worked on it and a lot of the ideas they experimented with in QoS ended up being implemented into Black Ops, specifically the whole "buying your guns/equipment" thing that we saw with the introduction of CoD Points in Black Ops.

Probably won't be a "sequel" to blood stone since Bizarre is no longer with activision, most likely it's the Raven software project which actually looked pretty great, and should have a lot of promise, considering they're a seasoned shooter studio.

Normally story in an FPS is not such a big deal but if you read the review you'll know we slammed it so hard because of how much smack the story writer for Crysis 2, Richard Morgan, talked about other FPS games.

Too bad we'll have to wait so long but I'm sure they'll use that to fine tune the gameplay till it's perfect.

@Dante112, if you read the original article, the forums are where the problem is being reported. Xbox 360 users have yet to report these problems in public matches while there are a lot of PS3 threads on the subject. While these hacks have been available for a while, as evidenced by one of your videos, this is the first time they're appearing on public matches on the PlayStation 3.
