Hey, speaking of God of War: CoO and Resistance: Retribution, I just picked up both of them on UMD for just under $30.
Guess how much they cost on the PS Store here in Canada? 48 bucks.
Save your money, get a 3000.
For me, it comes down to one thing:
Price.
An album on iTunes costs less than half of what I would've paid for the same CD a few years ago. I don't give a crap about the liner notes or the sound quality – it's cheap and it's right now.
If a $40 UMD game was priced at $25 on the PS Store I'd be picking up a PSP Go tomorrow.
Hey, uh, so how about those premium avatars? Oh yeah, and the dynamic themes...how about some of those?
All the hype around the PSP Go had me thinking I wanted one, but I weighed the options and ended up getting a 2000 instead.
I picked up my copy of Persona PSP this morning and I think I made the right choice to stick with UMD. You don't get a fancy box and a 2-disc soundtrack with a download, after all.
Mmmm...PSP Go Lunch Center.
Man, this game is going to be a monster. I'm having trouble deciding what to play from now to the release of MW2, because I won't be playing anything else for a year after that!
I'm thinking Uncharted (that's right, I haven't played it yet) and then Uncharted 2. But I really want to try Valkyria Chronicles too.
Damn you, game backlog!
Atlus is the reason I chose to buy a PSP 2000 over the Go. I'll be picking up my copy of Persona with the 2-disc soundtrack today.
It's really too bad – the PSP Go has a lot of strikes against it already.
I'd like to see it do well since it'll benefit UMD PSP owners – hopefully there will be a lot of games that are hard to find on UMD in the 225 they're releasing October 1.
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, please.
So fückin' hot!
Daaaaaamn!
The one with the PS3 ain't so bad either.
Hell muthafückin' yeah! Things just keep looking better for the PS3!
Guess what? The PS3 controller doesn't have rumble either.
FAIL!
I like the idea of getting a disc, a box, a manual, an artbook, a 2-disc soundtrack, etc. for my $40.
The PSP Go has the same problem the PS3 slim does. If you've already got one, there's no sense "upgrading" because there's nothing new but the form factor.
Sure I'd love to have both, but I'm not going to drop 550 bucks to get what I already have.
Still not in! The guy said maybe within the next couple of days.
If I wasn't still finishing up Persona 4 I'd be going nuts right now. By the way, did anyone find the bad endings super depressing? Wow! What a great game, though.
I still play CoD4 almost every day, even if it's only for half an hour or so, and I'm happy with it. It's good. In fact, it sounds like they're changing too many things for my taste.
As long as they can maintain the balance, I'll be happy.
Yeah kids, get outside and shoot birds with a pellet gun, have chicken fights and blow things up with homemade explosives.
Parents:
Heavy Metal will make your kid commit suicide.
Dungeons and Dragons will make your kid murder people.
Ouija boards will make your kid into an Satanist.
Harry Potter will make your kid turn their back on The Lord.
Pogs...well, Pogs don't really do anything.
I just bought Resistance: Retribution for $15 on UMD. It's $32 on the PS Store.
Nice update, though.
