How could I forget this game? Only thing I wish I had forgot about it is the awkward "Turn / go forward" walking control scheme.
Mixing monsters was a blast!
Trying as hard as I can not to watch youtube videos of the full game. Hard to resist, but only one month to wait until it steals all my free time.
Seems like a perfect game for the long winter. Might as well try to get a platinum out of this one, if it's possible...
Yeah, I'm probably at my 6th run through the demo now...
I'd like to prove you wrong about the evolution aspect. From the demo alone, you can see more than a palette swap for the evolution of the first monster they give you. In the volcano quest, it has different horns and a cape...
EDIT: Actually, I think it loses it's cape and gains an armor. The hero gets a cape.
Anyway, still is more than a palette swap.
Sometimes, sticking to your roots is better than trying to innovate at all costs. Take Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2, for example... Clearly innovation is not all.
Can't wait. I've been replaying the demo quite some time and finally got some candy drops for my critters. The evolution system seems well done, with different snack altering different stats, and as I see it, you can only evolve a monster once it has eaten enough food.
Gnnnnnnn january 22 is so far away now.
This should fix the JRPG need I've been having on this console generation. Tales of Graces F was a good serving, but now, THIS looks like the real deal.
I mean, I cleared the demo a couple of time already and am not tired of the game, so the full thing should be awesome. And what a pretty overworld music for such a pretty overworld.
I'm in love.
Only thing I don't like about these demos is that it only makes the wait oh so slightly longer. Especially for a product as enchanting as this game.
This article pretty much sums up my thought about the demo: CAN'T WAIT.
I see what you did there.
I don't agree. 25 minutes is enough time with this demo. If you skip the cut scenes and know your way in battles, the first boss (the forest one) takes about 3-4 minutes. That leaves you a whole 20 minutes to explore the gorgeous world map, grind some levels, learn about the menu, read the ingame tutorials, and find some hidden treasure chests located here and there. You also get a hint of the missing hearts mechanic before the demo ends.
Second quest leaves you enough ti...
I thought the demo was awesome. It made me preorder the game.
I was hyped already, but having the chance to try the battle system (Pretty sweet fusion of real time and turn based, and the ability to switch character and monsters on the fly works well), and spending some time in the menus, I got an idea of how deep and complex the whole package really is under all the cuteness. From what I gathered from the multiple menus, this game includes some sort of alchemy mechanic, comm...
Indeed.
I'd add that over muscular men with bulging pecs and as square as possible jaws are as much an oversexualisation of the male bodies as are enormous breast for women.
Still, ever saw any guy complain about it?
And what about Xenosaga? Both Kosmos and Shion were nice female leads, in my opinion.
And Okami? Yeah, a wolf, but a female wolf nonetheless.
I really enjoyed to final boss of the expansion. Leviathan does a better job at being a boss than the warrior, imho. Still haven't tried the 2 raid bosses tho.
The zoom is probably different. I made Moxxi spawn around 30 of her good touch guns, and I noticed that when it has a good zoom (with identical stats), it would sell for a bit higher.
edit Nevermind, I think one price is buy price, the other is sell price. Zoom could still be different tho.
Wow. Just wow. Some persons can't take a joke or something.
As a gay guy, I should be offended by Kanji, according to this article?
Not at all, actually. I even had a good laugh when the other male characters acted homophobic at the camp scene. It was all played in good terms, I thought.
Really, I think that article is way too extreme.
Go Atlus! You have one gay fan right over here, and that gay fan's never been offen...
Pretty much!
I set the difficulty at Hard or Evil for field encounters, and Normal or Moderate for bosses.
It takes a lot of grinding to keep up with the game, but hell, battles are the high point of Graces F, aren't they? :)
95 hours in, still much side questing to do!
Amazing game!
Only games I wanna get news from by SE are a new Star Ocean, a new Valkyrie Profile, or an actual srpg Front Mission.
"Lightning goes to space" can stay in their 'good ideas' closet.
