Or maybe people are being critical for a reason, the thing looks like a PC tower so the design gives a lot to be desired given that consoles are supposed to be more practical and accessible. That leads into the naming of the console which will inevitably confuse some people. I'm not bothered by either of those things but will reserve judgement until I see more exclusive games which aren't technically exclusive. I don't hate MS and have owned a 360 but nothing they have done so far...

It's not about the PS5 being a better name but it's not a good idea to confuse potential customers with your wording. The xbox series x vaguely worded will confuse some people that have no idea and just ask for an xbox.
Well there you have it folks the mini fridge is here, the design is meh and the name suggest that MS will once again push a tier set of consoles. The only interesting thing from them was Ninja Theory's sequel.
Maybe just maybe Sony read the market correctly why do some people keep insisting streaming is the future yet all of these services have issues. Streaming isn't the ideal way to play video games at least not yet.
Not surprising many people already have a PS4 or xbox one, and Nintendo does have many good games. It's practically a portable. Many people are probably waiting until next year to pick up a new next gen console. So there are many factors working in Nintendo's favor right now. Regardless pretty impressive to end up catching the xbox one and most likely surpassing it.
If you are on a budget and want to go as cheap as you can it has it's appeal, but given there are better options I rather get a switch if you already have a PS4. Or just wait save your money and jump on next gen since it's right around the corner but who am I to tell anyone how to spend their money.
Sony has said they have already shipped well over that number so you are assuming they haven't sold them by now? Yes they are estimates but retailers don't order more products unless they have sold their inventory, given that the holiday season is here I bet that by the end of the year Sony announces yet another higher sales number.

Nah as a pure RPG only I would say Divinity Original Sin 2 is the best RPG. I would also add that DA:I isn't a bad game even though they watered it down from the original.
I find it interesting that some people insist that game pass has better value given that MS has very few current AAA games even worth getting the service for. Knowing MS and how they operate I can almost but guarantee that if the quality of the games being offered improved drastically they would increase the price of their service. The only upside to streaming is apparently convenience but realistically there is no way it will ever be reliable enough since it depends on too many variables. If you enjoy gaming there are better options on the market so Stadia seems like a poor attempt by google to enter the market and cash out with the casual market in mind.
Disney will always have the advantage for one their brand is recognizable world wide, outside of Mario you would be hard pressed to find many characters that many people not interested in video games would recognize. Also movies are an established medium vs video games which are a huge part of Disney. IMO I don't think it's as simple as saying because some parents don't want their kids playing video games.
Streaming video games is NOT the ideal way to play them, no matter who the company is this is largely due to the bad internet infrastructure currently in place.
Yes we should trust a conglomerate like google who is under fire by the FTC for violating federal laws, and now youtube and it's creators are going to get censored no thank you. I for one is glad google is failing with Stadia everyone knew that their promises where BS. Yet you are wondering why so many people cringe at the thought of google entering the video game market? Isn't obvious.
If you are writing alternative characters to further story telling that's one thing which is fine but when you use it to specifically market the game it cheapens the whole purpose of looking for a diverse perspective. Just my two cents.

They have all made mistakes but Sony has been the most consistent as long as they keep delivering new ip's they will stay on top. MS has way more question marks moving forward and Nintendo is moving further away from traditional consoles that they aren't competing directly anymore.
What do you mean it wouldn't change anything? These corporations want you to pay a constant fee for a service vs selling you a finished product. You wouldn't own anything and they would have complete control over how you receive said service.
