My 120gb Slim is definitely audible.

Generally it's not actually the fans, but the optical drive that I can hear constantly searching and changing speed, particularly in games that use stream loading such as Infamous 2.

Still, doesn't really bother me. I hear the fans on the 360 S, and the optical drive on my PS3 slim. Both are well below what I would consider annoying.

At least, compared to the dual Nvidia GTX 570 in SLi I got a few ...

Wrong.

IGN did an investigative article about the horrible working conditions at the studio (over 80-100 hours a week!), rapid changeover of staff and terrible boss that treated the developers like expendable resources, preferring to bring in interns to work for free before kicking them out instead of giving them a job as is supposed to happen.

Plus, the people who rightfully quit did not receive any mention in the credits in spite of years of hard work.

Clearly he hasn't tried to play something like Dance Central with a controller.

Child of Eden supports both Kinect and controller, and almost every review I've read states that it's definitely far more enjoyable and precise with Kinect. Now owning it myself I completely agree, and I'm sure Move owners will find the same when it's available on PS3.

While it's good to see a developer speaking his mind, ridiculously large generalisations ...

I love creation games like Black and White, and can't wait for From Dust...but I'm hanging out for the PC version.

Tempted to get the 360 version if it's out first just so I can start playing ASAP.

I'm currently doing a research PhD (doctorate), and I enjoyed BulletStorm.

Sometimes games don't have to be incredibly intellectual, philosophical or a cultural commentary to be fun. I also enjoy Mario, Crackdown, Serious Sam and many other games that do not typically challenge intellect.

While I enjoy games like Heavy Rain and Anno 1404, stating that players should only enjoy certain types of games based on their age or IQ is misguided.

The 360 has had a wireless headset and media remote since launch...these are just updated versions that match the aesthetic of the slim 360.

Where is the copying?

@mantisimo: I doubt that would be the reason.

I loved Infamous 1, but that didn't mean I wasn't going to get Infamous 2 because 1 was enough.

I've actually noticed that myself with many of my ps3-owning friends.

I own both consoles and go through a ton of games each year (I don't stick to any particular game for too long), and my friends with just Xbox 360s tend to get many games whereas my ps3-owning friends own very few in spite of the large number of exclusives.

Similarly, in spite of free PSN my Xbox-owning friends seem to play online more often. Perhaps it could be the effect of 'w...

Totally!

I'm so sick of Resistance, then Killzone, then another Resistance, then another Killzone...

No wonder people don't buy Halo, Gears, Killzone or Resistance anymore...

A lot of the exclusives seem to have direct competitors on the other platform, so really it's a case of personal preference.

Here's mine, as a cross-platform gamer, separated into genres (note: this is just my own opinion, as it's different for everyone):

Halo: Reach > Halo 3 > Killzone 3 > Gears of War 2 > Gears of War > Halo 3: ODST > Resistance 2 > Killzone 2 > Resistance 1

I don't think anyone's bragging.

This was just something interesting to read. Note that he said at the end that it in no way reflects which console is best or anything.

Would you be saying the same is the ps3 was the most searched term?

And yet, the studii head causing these problems AND the core team were from the UK.

It's the aussies who were treated like a disposable resource. Check the IGN interview.

I think their justification is that the games will play on 1080p TVs, not necessarily that they are rendered at that resolution.

Dodgy, I know.

4845d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

You can always get it from Origin, since the retail disc uses Origin anyway.

4845d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

None of those games run at 1080p.

NONE.

Instead, like most games, they run at 720p OR BELOW and are simply stretched to fill up a 1080p screen (aka: upscaling).

3D would be insane! But on a serious note, this is definitely NOT a game for any with a history of epilepsy.

I reckon gyroscope controls would also work really well with Child of Eden on something like the PS Vita. Keep the crosshair centred, but move the actual handheld to look around within the sort of cone of vision used in the 360 version (moving the crosshair to the edge of the screen with Kinect makes you look further in that direction).

Go for it. I'm loving Child of Eden, and for once the motion controls trump using the controller (which is also available in the game).

One of the most 'in the zone' games you'll ever play. Just make sure to turn the sound up and lights out while you play.

Are you paid to spout marketing slogans in caps lock?

4849d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

Pretending only Microsoft pays for exclusives is very naive.

Do you think EA's announcement at Sony's E3 conference of exclusive DLC on PS3 for NFS and Battlefield 3 was purely out of the kindness of EA's heart, since they would be losing the potential money generated from 360 sales of the same DLC? Guess who fills that revenue gap.

Exclusivity deals have been going on for years. It's just rare that PR will slip up and state it out loud.
