Yep, I enjoy the simplicity of Crackdown 3... But it's not what MS promised. The MP is hollow. The destruction is not even close to what we expected.... But still, the campaign is mindless fun. Not too much to think about, jumping your superhero around and gratuitously launching grenades and Rockets at bad guys...
What was promised from the cloud, and what I played on Crackdown 3, are WORLDS apart. Truly disappointed.
For the record, I literally chose Xbox 1 at launch simply because I was such a hardcore Crackdown fanboy. I NEEDED the system that would have it. Now that I've played it 3-4 hours, I don't know if I'll pick it up again.
Crackdown 3 multi-player 4 years ago would have been more fun... In a world with Fortnite, PUBG, and Apex, it can't compete.
I played 1 round of MP with Crackdown 3 and was not interested in another round.

Its an updated Crackdown 1, a fun throwback. I had fun for maybe 3-4 hours with it. If you never played crackdown before, I bet this game is a lot more fun since everything is new.
Multi-player is garbage I think. I played it, meh. Ended up playing Apex instead.
I'm incredibly glad I didn't spend $60 on this, I got it with gamepass.
@S2killinit, Game Pass can be found for $5 per month on sale. $7 per month on CD keys, or $10 per month right from your X1. All are great deals, IF, there are games on there you like.

I played for a couple hours last night, the game IS fun. But yeah, it's like a DLC for Crackdown 1.
We've gotten used to worlds that feel alive. The CD3 world is big, beautiful, with lots of things to climb, but feels empty. It's like the game is 4 years too late, it would have been perfect to launch with the X1.

I played CD3 last night for about 2 hours, it's definitely my type of game. I had a blast. I don't see how it matters if a PS4 owner doesn't like the "idea" of the game. Go read about some PS4 games that you're interested in.
I got game pass, $1 for 1 month, simply to play Crackdown 3 for basically free. Been playing for the past 90 minutes, and it is fun. It's "new" crackdown 1, but it's not breaking any new ground. But still fun. Isn't that what gaming's all about?

It's more than basic math at play here.... Sure, releasing the game with valve would increase sales and total revenue. But Epic is sending a message that an 88/12 split is not a good business decision in the long run.
