The first Arkham game, no (really good game though). The second Arkham game I can understand why someone would chose that as it was a great game. The third Arkham game definitely no (decent game). I won't even address Superman 64. Personally, Spiderman (PS4) is the best super hero game to date.

What kind of school did you go to? After your junior year, you become a senior in high school. Then onto 4 years of college. Five years of schooling in five years, makes sense.

Both Sony and Microsoft will offer streaming services, yes. But that is where the similarities end. The differences between them is with Sony, the traditional form of gaming (as in gaming in its current state) is their full time job; while their other ventures are part time jobs. With Microsoft, the traditional form of gaming is, at the very most, a part time job, while "services" seem to be their full time job.

So again, even thoug...

More options of where and when you can play your games is good, but not as good as more options of games you can play. I think the problem with Microsoft is through out this gen they have had a perception of providing more "services" than games (not saying they havent released games, just it seems their priorities are "services").
If there was a choice between having more games on less platforms, or less games on more platforms; most hardcore gamers would choose m...

Not everyone reads because it is fun, perhaps they just want to learn. Not everyone exercises because it is fun, perhaps they have a goal. Not everyone plays video games just for fun, perhaps they want their thoughts provoked, be enveloped in a story, test their skill. Fun isnt a requirement for doing everything, and its not a requirement for something being good.

Not saying fun is bad, just not always essential. There can be many metrics that qualify something as good.

A more anti consumer practice is making someone pay to play something that is free. How about you be "for the gamers" and petition for Microsoft to stop charging people subscriptions to play F2P games? Or maybe be more honest and stop using the term F2P when it's not really free to play the game on their platform. Want to be pro consumer? Help consumers save money by saving on subscriptions to access free stuff.

So why comment about something you have not done research on from the source? Your reasoning is that is was reported before, but obviously not verified, yet you took it as fact. Do you regularly make arguements using unverified information?

And yet Bethesda has no issues with GameStop unsealing copies and selling them as new. I have personally purchased “new” unsealed games from GameStop.

And no, had the seller tampered with the game it would not have made Bethesda look bad. People would be pissed at the seller or the marketplace (I.e. Amazon if they didn’t help the buyer).

More like the old “Nobody cared that you couldn’t use an account on all systems before, but now that it could be used against Sony everybody cares”. If you are going to complain about Sony, complain about Microsoft not allowing it with PUBG.

Weird that you guys were quick to mention PS4 fanboys flaming this article when the first person to mention anything negative seems to be pro MS judging from their comment history.

I see the consensus in this article is that anything not pro Sony gets down voted. Wonder if this comment will get down votes for making the above observation.

One of the biggest differences between console and PC is the level of access developers have to the system. So if this machine does not give developers the same access, then a straight comparison to consoles would be flawed. Sure you can compare specs, but unless developers can optimize for it like a console, then its really nothing more than a PC that looks like a console.

Isn't Microsoft building an entire game around a cool premise with Crackdown 3? The Scalebound footage looked better than Crackdown 3 in it's early stage. The only reason Crackdown 3 hasn't been cancelled is because they can't cancel it. They already tied the game to their tech, and cancelling it would only harm it's rep. As someone said earlier they are going to release it and measure it's success by some non quantifiable metric. Hoping it ...

The Wii "won" last gen, but it came at a price. They catered to non gamers and lost support from third party developers. The result, the WiiU was an utter failure. Sold terrible and had no third party support. So they sold almost 20 million more consoles that gen, then got utterly destroyed the following gen with the WiiU as a result.

They managed to bounce back with the Switch, but after a year of selling like hotcakes sales are slowing down. It's getting reg...

Maybe because they don’t consider Nintendo a competitor to compare their games. Nintendo has a handful, if that, of highly rated games within recent years (Mario, Zelda, Mario kart), the rest (most) are rated average. I’m sure a Nintendo gamer can confirm this with a list.

They own a studio in London, but it doesn't make AAA games. The other studios apart of their European branch are based out of Canada, so technically those are AAA games being developed in NA.

Believe it or not, there are people that buy consoles based on where their friends play. So naturally Sony, with the larger userbase, would leverage this so that new gamers will be more likely to buy a PS4 so they can play with their friends. It's also a way to convince Xbox gamers to switch of a majority of their friends has PS4s. Don't kid yourself in thinking Microsoft wouldn't be doing this same thing if they had the larger install base (or comparable). This is evident by the ...

I understand preference varies by gamer, but the fact that you just put splatoon 2 and xenoblade 2 in the same breathe as GoW and uncharted 4 just belittles your point and strengthens his. Those games are good, but hardly considered great. They aren’t even on the same scale. I mean, they may be great to you, but c’mon.

And they run and look worse on the Xbox One, which is what 95% of Xbox gamers play on. What's your point?

Talk about being objective, yet ignore the overwhelming majority of Xbox gamers that play on the Xbox One just because 5% game on the Xbox One X.

So septic acknowledges that Microsoft needs to change their policy of locking F2P games behind paywall, yet it only gets one sentence? Where are the articles demanding them change such an "anti consumer" policy? He writes paragraphs complaining about Sony, but only a sentence about Microsoft not allowing players to play a free game without shelling out money. What's worse, not being able to play with a certain competiting console or not being able to play a game at all? Hmm. <...
