Nintendo always had a better lineup of exclusives than ms.
It seems there have been multiple grassgates in the past, but gta 5 is the only one i personally remember.

That is how i see it. I'm a primary playstation gamer with lots of love for nintendo and i don't give a damn if switch sells better or ps4 on a monthly basis or vice versa. to be fair, zelda is a multiplatform, not switch exclusive, so something like uncharted 4 would be the top rated "exclusive" on the latest consoles afaik. 🤐
But yeah it's pretty amazing that switch got botw from day one, followed by splatoon a short bit later and imo topped by the incredibly looking mario odysee later this year.
And i may add that switch is a new system. No one can complain about having critical acclaimed games like zelda botw, splatoon 2, and mario odysee(?) within the first year after release. Xbox 1 on the other side should have hit its stride in the fourth year after release while in reality it even lost alot of steam when it comes to first party support or second/ third party exclusives.

I don't know about mafia 2 but there were heated arguements about gta 5's ps4 version having a higher density of grass than x1's and how much it mattered or didn't matter, depending on which side of the fence gamers were.XD
if your product isn't that popular anyways, giving no alternative incentive for consumers to buy said product since halo wars 2(which doesn't really draw a larger audience), especially if you want to sell a new and more expensive iteration of the console.
It is a huge problem for xbox (not ms) that their most interesting console exclusive games - sea of theives, cuphead and ori- can also be played on a stone age pc which almost everyone on this planet should have at this point and therefore nobody has to buy an xbox for.

Exactly. When phil became the head of xbox, people saw him as savior of the brand. But recent years showed he is steering xbox only further into redudancy. Obviously he is only in charge to phase out xbox as a primary gaming console like ms planned it in the first place.

Well said bathy. I'm sure that there are alot of sony fans just hating everything xbox related. But i'm sure there are also enough, like myself, who want as many decent consoles on the market as possible. Imho the damage spencer and mattrick have done in regards to x1 is unreal and as a gamer/ nerd it's just sad to see spencer even making everything worse.

Well deserved. Ms hasn't shown any efford to justify better sales. But it's also xbox fans fault. Rather than defending and cheering for that fool spencer an his bs way of steering xbox in redudancy, they should flood his twitter account or switch ( atleast temporaliy) to the competition. Now some of them are all over x1x but once the initial hype dies down there won't be anything left to attract consumers.

I feel the same way. I love the gow games but i'm afraid the movie will be just bad like most video game adaptions. But they will do it anyway, so i hope it will be atleast on the same level as Prince of persia. That would be enough.

Pretty much this! But imo they have to do all this because they have to work hard to save their reputation aka damage control. I'm sure the No man's sky release fiasco will stick on hello games for quite some time and it would cause difficulties for future projects if they just dropped nms and ran away instead of gaining back atleast some ...

All ps4 fans here who state that horizon dlc sales will destroy those of x1x have keep in mind that there are alot of xbox loyalists whose egos suffered a huge blow by xbox not being more powerful, nor having good exclusive games. I believe x1x will sell good for a short period of time and then sales numbers will crash.

Don't you find it interesting that xbox hardliners always downplay the importance of exclusives, yet ms is using the word "exclusive" at any given chance ? Having exclusives might be more important than those in denial think, otherwise spencer & the gang wouldn't use the word time and time again
