Previous gen Socom games were great; the best in the genre. Let's hope this one impresses.
Umm, he is guilty. Give me a break. He's creating a way for people to pirate games. End of story. He deserves punishment. Although, rape is a bit harsh, I agree.
Sorry, but you sound pretty ignorant. The fact is, Geohot IS distributing software that can facilitate piracy. There is no two ways around this. Just because he comes out and says 'I don't condone piracy' doesn't mean crap. Its still enabling people to do that, and that's what Sony is saying.

Would have bought The Witcher yesterday on Steam if my computer could run it.
On that list, Demon's Souls definitely takes my number one spot.
But you don't have limitless ammo and compared to some of the monsters, your weapons aren't that powerful. But I understand what the author is saying. It isn't the same as the old games, but maybe that's because they are just that...Old!

Medal of Honor was and still is a good game. I jumped back into the multiplayer the other night and thought to myself, "Ah yes. Now I remember why I don't like Call of Duty..." Its back to the basics and it really is a lot of fun.
Still worried about this game. It seems like every time the developers talk about it, something has deviated from the core mechanics that made the earlier games great. I have YET to see any stealth gameplay and that is one aspect I cannot go without.

If I close my eyes, I can remember exactly how I got a Silent Assassin rating on the second mission of Hitman 2. That's how amazing that game was...
All the 'hardcore vets' will tell you to stay away from it. And while I agree its not the most accurate representation of what made SOCOM great, it is still a fun, highly played title. And at 4 pounds, its a great deal.
