Sky isn't falling. Good Lord at this reactionary journalism junk nowadays.

First off, Activision isn't going because they don't have Destiny stuff and Disney Infinity isn't coming. They'll be there on stage at Sony's Conference with CoD.

The reason Disney isn't going is also, because they don't have Infinity coming, so they'd just be rehashing old stuff.

Wargaming is whatever. It's amazing how a few com...

That was pretty cool.

I'm curious what happens if you switch rooms, does the game branch into a different crime.

Like, the idea of the matchbook behind the couch or coffee table is awesome. But what if you don't have that in the room you're currently in. Does the game adjust the clues to match your room?

It'd be really crazy if you could go outside and have it recognize you're in a park and put up yellow caution tape. Or b...

I think it's because overseas, prices vary. Kind of like Canadian or Australian game prices look crazy compared to the US stores.

$490 seems steep, especially since it doesn't look like it has the camera and move controllers included. That bundle would then cost like $550, so it would have virtually no edge on Oculus.

I personally think it's gonna be $350 without the bundled accessories.

So then, is every Japanese game coming to PS3/Vita/PS4 a multi-plat? Because I see journalists on this very site using the headline "PS4/PS3/Vita Exclusive....."

So if you're going to count all Sony platforms as one whole exclusive ecosystem, then why does the goalpost shift when it comes to Microsoft's ecosystem?

@moldy

That's kind of the point he's making.

The puzzles themselves (aside from a few environmental clue types) don't need a 3D aesthetic or huge TV screen to be completed.

I still can't for the life of me, figure out why they went and built this huge world, only to fill it with puzzles in 2D space.

What really was the point of crafting this massive 3D world? It seems like such overkill for a game predicated o...

Japan has double the population of that in the UK, so that's not exactly a great example.

Also, the US has about 2.7 times the population of Japan and sales wise, you're looking at almost 6x the amount of consoles sold compared to Japan.

The JP market just isn't what it used to be. And Sony should focus on bigger markets. Focusing is one thing, abandoning is an entirely different thing.

Sony isn't just going to forget about Ja...

In most cases, I would agree with you. But with NMS, I can't say waiting is going to change much for me.

Here's my BIGGEST PROBLEM, with what has been shown so far.

Every planet...is simply a variations of every other planet.

Think about it. Go back and look at every demo shown. Grass is everywhere. Trees, plants, flowers..etc..All the foliage is on every planet, just in a different color.

Look at the E3 demo. He said...

What? This is amazing. People not even willing to read their OWN article, before they post.

Where exactly does he say, it'll have the strongest games line up? Apparently I missed that section.

What I DID SEE, was the guy saying that Sony will have the strongest title COUNT. Count. In other words, launch with the most games. As in quantity. He said nothing about quality.

The author of the article, doesn't even correctly quote his own a...

Agreed. That $1500 price tag was INCLUDING the Rift.

If Morpheus is $300, you need a camera and move controllers, we'll add $100. So you're looking at $400 + console, which would be close to $750.

So for, AT MOST, double the price, you're looking at a rig that would already be running 4K without the need for a new generation.

This article is straight up nut hugging. Nothing more, nothing less.

Are you kidding me? How dumb are you, seriously. I'd like to know in advance how far this rabbit hole goes.

You can't possibly be serious, it'd be unfathomable if you weren't trolling right now.

OK, I'd like you to explain to me, THE OPENING PARAGRAPH to this Wiki page.

So by all means, keep explaining to us how using Virtual Machines, on an OS WITHOUT Virtual Machines, is somehow BS.

What?

They did "send out a system update" for BC. They updated the entire OS when they rolled out the Windows 10 update.

Windows 10 is designed around VMs. That's one of the most alluring elements of the OS, especially on PC.

The 3 OS approach they did in the beginning of the gen was not designed for VMs, it was designed so each element would have it's own OS. Apps, Games, Services..etc. They were given a separate type of OS...

Looking for facts? OK.

FACT #1: There are 49 other games on that list, which any one of them could have headlined the story. The author, without any reason given whatsoever, decided to choose an XB1 game to showcase sales in Japan.

FACT #2: The author wrote these articles.

There were 49 other games to talk about...

...yet the headline pointed out the XB1 game which has the lowest console sales in the region.

What's funny is, these are the same people who CONSISTENTLY write, "PS4/PS3/Vita Exclusive". How are 3 platforms an exclusive?

Also, what's even funnier is, these are the same people who said DQ:Heroes was PS4 Exclusive...

Not really.

Morpheus doesn't have dual goggle setup. In other words, it's one big screen.

Oculus and Vive have two separate viewing areas, one for each eye.

So that changes things quite a bit for Morpheus, since it's not exactly a "45 fps per eye" kind of situation. It's 90fps for both simultaneously. That's also the reason why Oculus and Vive are willing to do 90, since they have stereo styled 45fps per eye.

I absolutely hate these Bethesda threads about "making my own story".

Bethesda games are extremely repetitive in nature. What kind of story are you "creating" by doing redundant side quests?

How interesting is it to pick flowers or raid a cave that looks 90% identical to other caves? Joining a guild in TES has you doing fetch and retrieve, errand and escort questing, which is no different than if a random shop keeper told you to do it.

@XiKurapika

You keep saying "don't compare them to film", which is just a cop-out. How are TLOU cut-scenes different than film? The animators at ND had more freedom to correct imperfections in the performance, which is no different than film. You don't want to compare them to film, but you want to compare pre-rendered cut-scenes to real-time cut-scenes. Really?

You're saying that a crying scene in a game is more powerful than any of the ...

You also aren't taking into consideration that the cut-scenes in TLOU are pre-rendered.

That allowed the animators to do significantly more touch-up work to the actors face. Doing that in real-time would have never been as close to believable.

And there-in lies the problem. Believability in characters, especially game characters is hard to replicate. We aren't at the point yet where perfect performance capture is readily available, nor is it functiona...

I pray it has Horde Mode.

The idea of a map breaking down, caught in a violent loop, WHILE having waves of enemies attack would be so crazy.

Buildings collapsing back and forth while you're running. It's not just enemies you need to avoid, it'd be the environment.

Imagine taking cover behind something, then watching it float into the air and leaving you exposed for a moment.

I half agree.

During the daytime, the game is very average looking. It's funny, whenever I see DC threads, it's like 95% of every screenshot is in the rain and/or wet.

But that's the thing. When it comes to weather effects, they are VERY IMPRESSIVE. It's easily the best looking racer in the rain. Pretty much hands down.

During the day, game looks super average. I'd say Forza and Project Cars are e...
